I am dropping a second comment because this is so beneficial for children. Doing things like this with a caring adult positively encouraging the little one is important in so many ways. In this case a father and uncle 👌🏼. Also when Bella shouts “Eyes!” 👍🏼

Brilliant educational video, you have taught a lot of people the basic fundamental rules of welding in this video. Bella is a credit to you for wanting to have a go at it. Fantastic,I remember teaching my son how to weld when he was around the same age. I'm not Fantastic at welding as I thought myself but he is now welding in his job and loves it. I wish I had film it back then. Keep up the great video and the great content 👏

my 9 year old lad loves idea of welding we have a gasless mig he will spend hours trying to welding old spanners to a old cement mixer..hees going to watch this video with so much inspiration ...to add am no welder hopefully he will learn a bit watching this thank you baz ..the professional welder 😂

I wish I could do the same thing I’m a hgv class two tipper driver and my son is 13 he loves lorries and I wish he could come with me more. I also told him if he wanted to be a driver he should learn to fix them to. Bella you did amazing work well done 👍

The high end welder is an advantage and 3ph is a lot easier to put a good weld down with than a single phase welder but she's still doing a great job hope you paid her for the shift 😂

Well done Bella! Big gloves! A big helmet and a big gun definitely made this lesson much trickier for the young lady. This a is a great example this country should follow. We need to teach youngsters physical work skills because in twenty years time, nobody will know how to build or repair stuff. There is a term for not teaching young folk physical skills and its called "dumbing down". By schools and colleges not encouraging, teaching or even discussing skills like welding and preferring instead to promote silly diplomas and degrees in woke subjects those that get left behind end up on Universal Credit and forgotten. I don't have any kids so I cannot pass on anything. When it comes to video history, YES BAZ, you are bang on the money because they are memories. I have 425 videos on my channel but all are Private (I was shadow banned) and feature family (including my passed over German Shepherds), car, tractor's, adventures, silly stuff and welding jobs I did. When I am a dribbling wreck in a nursing home I can watch them back in my final days! 🤣🤣🤣😂

Brilliant Baz…… Sadly this is where it’s all gone wrong. It’s the only way Kids learn what there parents do for a living,and like you said” how to get in the game” and earn a honest living…… Could you and Foxy not open a welding school to teach? I would be keen to learn at 57yrs old. I learnt from my Grandad about HGV fitting, self taught welder…. Drove tractors at Hay time at 6yrs old…. Thankfully no XBox or internet back then🙏 just honest graft and work which sadly has been removed by H&S😔🤔

Well I have no trouble in saying young Bella is welding better than myself. I am 58yo, on my side I am using a old gasless welder that is hardwired neg earth and can only use .8 wire , so very hard to get a decent weld, Bella is a natural like her Dad , Great Work there Bella,

Great Video Baz 👍 you should be extremely proud of Bella, she did some good work, not easy in PPE that doesn't quite fit. I love your ethos on teaching a trade to young or even older people looking for a more rewarding fulfilling career. I was lucky to get a Ford Apprenticeship back in the day, and it has provided me with skills to work anywhere, and gives me options to leave crap bosses when I encounter them. I did some welding in my first year, gas and arc, and did keep a nice gas butt weld I did. Love more instructional videos as they are extremely helpful, also going into how you set the machine up would be useful, and maybe use some more common machines people may have at home. Good shit Baz :) Honestly must have been hard with that table height and having the helmet and gloves being 50% too big, and the gun would be heavy and hard to hold at the right angle from that hight, but she done pretty good eh, especially standing with no support!

Oh and if she is in to computers, perhaps get her into CAD at some stage, fusion 360 or something, so she can get parts or avatars or whatever cut on a CNC plasma cutter and perhaps make things she designed back in the workshop?

Very cool idea to teach such a useful skill at such an early age. Developing proper work habits now, will serve her well in the future, no matter what jobs she may seek. And i was especially happy you had her on a PAPR. I know how uncomfortable those are, but protecting her lungs now, is a gift for her whole life. Now the bad part. YOU WERE NOT WEARING A RESPIRATOR!!! Being older is even less a justification for bad safety practices. I bet your daughter will want you to walk her down the aisle one day, and be an on-call granddad baby sitter. Being on supplemental oxygen or 6 feet under from bad lungs would tend to interfere with her plans for you!
