Well explained Rus! Not a welder but definitely kept me interested the whole video. You definitely could be a instructor! Have a awesome day! Cheers brother 🍺 👍

Nice rod to weld with, I love the way they puddle and leave a smooth bead without having to whip it. Nice explanation Rus.

I've done my share of 6010 and 6011 rods over the years, and they are fine for deep penetration, but 7018 has always been my favorite to weld with. Thanks for watching!

7018 is my go to rod. 6011 or 6013 is next.

Same here Bo. Tig is my favorite process, but when stick welding, I prefer 7018 when possible.

7018 is my go to on the farm. 6013-6011. Are also a good option for certain types of welding

When it comes to stick welding mild steel, I always prefer a 7018

Good video Rus you should become a teacher for welding. THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA....

That's pretty much why I made this video. Nothing can replace actually being with the student, but at least video allows me to explain things and show the techniques somewhat, but actually being beside an instructor is the best way to learn welding. Thanks for watching Frank.

Wow Rus - I learned so much (having no previous knowledge) - Thanks for your clear and concise instructions. - Cheers! I was amazed at how fast the rods burned. - lol I would like to see welding of thinner materials - like 1/8" steel or less. (sheet metal?) - It must take a lot more care? Maybe a different method?

Thanks for checking the video out Garry! Yeah, thin metals like sheetmetal is actually better suited for other welding processes such as mig or tig welding. I've got to get a wire feed mig machine one day, but I do plan on doing a video soon using the tig process

No I wasn’t pushing, or at least not on the flat and overhead.
