I have repaired a couple ,with mixed results. Stop drilling the ends of the crack is essential to prevent further cracking. Best results came from using vehicle body solder paste painted into the crack and a quick heating with my induction forge. This pulled the solder into the crack with very little overflow or distortion. Owners pleased with results and lack of change to their instrument. Can get the flux solder paste from Eastwoods.

I tried this 30+ years ago and it did not hold. Did the exact same technique you shown here and it didn't even survive a few hits. I used silver solder. I just now leave cracks as they are possibly drilling out the end of the crack to limit it spreading. The sound usually isn't too far off, but once you heat or add anything to the cymbal, it changes the sound so drastically it renders it to smacking a pan.

In most crack repair projects, it is common to drill a stop hole at the end of the crack to prevent it from running. What makes you feel a filler material will prevent this, given that this is a percussion instrument? Good luck with the repairs and as always, thanks for sharing.

I feel using tig for this would be a lot more appropriate. Torch soldering is much too hot across an area and your just filling the space not refusing the crack which is whats required for resonance. You could even look at doing a heating process after welding to help homogenise the weld a bit better.

When dealing with small parts that are heat intolerant I use a hot air gun.

If you get a chance then try an induction heater, instant but very localised and controllable heat. Has to be seen to be believed!
