Thank you so much for this video! I'm pressed into service to cut off a drag- link on a semi tractor which I have not been able to do by any other mechanical means to include hundreds of pounds with a four home sledgehammer. I like how you showed what not to do either: that resonated with me.

How important is it to use the correct cutting tip ? How much will it affect the the finish cut ? I have never heard it mentioned in any video.

Thanks for the video but the "Moisture out of the metal" is another "wives tale". The "moisture" you see on the surface is a result of O2 and Hydrogen condensing on the cold surface. Moisture does not "soak in" carbon steel!
