What’s your opinion on heavy duty masks and to not breath particles or sparks from cutting metal? Curious to know your opinion on this.

Big like from me. Been using the welding cap backwards thinking it is somethin to do with estetics but still that cam does not protect you from the flash, you will burn your neck . Better to weld with a hood.

Almost had my eye drilled years ago. I begged the doctor to just scrape it out manually with a pic. Wasn't fun but way better than the drill lol

I feel like they should have some kind of device for the nose? Since you're constantly breathing in fumes. I feel like they don't talk about that much

If you stick weld, you can weld outside, it will help. If you weld inside or use mig, you will need a fume extractor, and those are pretty expensive. But the good news is, you can make it yourself for cheap. Also if you are new to welding read as much as you can about safety. For example, you absolutely shouldnt weld aluminum or stainless steel without a fume extractor, and i wont tell you why because i lack all the info. Therefore its your responsibility to use google and find answers, cheers

I wear a respirator when welding and grinding. Fits under my hood and my grinding shield. Mine is 3m brand with hard P100 filters (pink color)

One more thing : Never, ever use contact lenses when welding!

@@tomorrowcomestoday1621 Ultraviolet radiation. Contact lenses are like magnifying glasses, very unhealthy for retina. And they will melt if you are unlucky enough to get a welding spark in your eye.

@@traitorousbipeds Yeap. Actually it is most important, since hobby projects are usually done by unexperienced people.
