I saw you take one for the team yesterday. Almost nice to see 279e gun miss behave like that. Usualy when i face 279e it snipes cupolas left right and center while bouncing every single fully aimed shot and getting miracle penetration low roll bounces. I actualy think the most effective way to balance 279e would be to cut the mobility and gunhandling. 279e should be in the maus and 60tp class and have top speed no more than 30kph. I always feel like its too fast. It can react too fast to flanking attempts. Ofcourse the obvious nerf would be to make cupola biger and weaker.

279e don`t have armor, it can be penetrayted by tier X with standard shells and in the cupola by tier VIII vehicles, plus you are getiing focused by arta every time.😊

I don’t have this tank but I also don’t think it is that much OP. When I see it in battles and I’m on 9 or 10 lvl tank I just shoot gold in the lower part pf its hull - 276mm of armour there. Cupolas are 210mm so even lvl 8 can penetrate nicely, they are not that small. If it tries to sidescrape then its cheeks become about 230-240mm. If it tries to raise the hull then it simply can’t shoot because of abysmal 5 degrees of gun depression. That’s all you need to know to counter that tank. Obj 705a is harder to penetrate. Super Conqueror is much more powerful. 279e is really working only against bad players. Considering time and effort average player puts into getting it it shouldn’t be just average. It should be good as it really is now. Not really OP

I'm defending it cuz I spent 15k battles trying to get the tank and it better be overpowered. It's a REWARD tank ffs, it should be better than any tech tree tank or premium tank you can just buy. What's the point of doing all those incredibly annoying missions if you can get a better tank on the tech tree?

279e is easy to handle, most t9 and t10 tanks can pen it on the frontal armor head on. The armor is a bit derpy but 80% of my shells pen it no matter what t10 i play (that I have) It is truly based on how you play, and not to be scared of it. I was scared of 279e the first few times i saw it because i cant pen and then with time i found out how to just yolo it and it will out trade usually, but if you have a 2v1 on 279e it is easy (if both have a half brain

The biggest issue of this tank is when you dont have enough pen to do anything to 279e as common for heavy tanks, especially lower tier, the flank you came to is ruined by a single 279e often that has virtually no weak spots.

@@Kig211 you can pen it through the front with gold rounds if you aim against the angle of the hull, unless the 279e is driving up a rock it usually goes through

It has about 276mm in the lower part of the hull. So any gold round from lvl 10 and most of the gold from lvl 9 will go through easily. When it tries to raise it’s hull it can’t shoot because of pitifully 5 degrees of gun depression. So this tank is quite easy to fock with gold.

People should not complain about these nerfs. Even they tryharded to get it. For everyone will be the same. I think is very good for game variety. For me the main point is that tanks are not personally owned, its all in own by WG, including servers and all of tanks. It is not collector thing like stamps. Its just temporary LOAN. So dont spent money and expect u own something. U just spending your money for fun. And Fun doesn't necessarily come from farming weaker tanks. Fun is u just have tank that is good in your hands, whatever tank it is. Have a fun guys.

I can tell that this tank performed so well because majority of the players didn’t shoot gold. It has about 276mm of armor in the lower part of the hull. my problem with Chief and 279 nerfs is gold pene. I hate when I see new tank comming in to game and than - HEAT on new X HT - 300 or 310 instead 340 like on E5 or 277. You do missions for multiple months or even years, and then they nerf the tank. And how many times do you see chieftain or 279 in random battles? Do they really bother you? Do they make your battle unplayable? I'm more concerned about arty, map unbalance and match making unbalance instead of seeing some OP tank anyone can get 1 time in 10 battles. Also battles that last 3 minutes with results 15-1 or 15-5 are ok for you guys? And remember, if they start nerfing reward tanks, there is no stop anymore, black market, assembly shop, battle pass, ranked battles, special events. You will spend time and money to get a reward tank, and later they will nerf it so you will just have that tank in garage taking dust. Instead of nerfing reward tanks, they should add competitor tanks or buff existing tanks.

Yes that tanks makes game unplable when map has 2 corridors and one of them is plugged by hulldown beasts. Arties are only helper who can dig them from the position, not even everytime because corridosr is worst for arties. btw that two tanks overperforms in almost every aspect of stats. I admit partly it is because of that few players who has that tanks are very good or experienced players, despite that it is better than others. Assembly shop, black market and battle pass tanks are pretty well balanced for now. But main point is that tanks are not personally owned, its all in own by WG, including servers and all of tanks. There is at least one in every match on the NA server. Yes and Yes. We generaly say, the team that has them is going to win, and this happens more than 80% of the time. If you are on a tier 8 and you see those tanks, you turn around and go to the other side of the map. The strategy is simple: kill his team and then gang up on them with at least 3 tanks, Else you are dead. It is not fun to play against someone that you know is wining not because he is a better player, but because his tank is invulnerable to you gun.

Arty players: Remember when you see a 279e on the enemy team, focus fire them. Pound them relentlessly. Even if you're not doing a lot of damage. Keep them stunned and frustrated. Because its players like them who got your class gutted and nerfed into the ground. So return the favor.

It's fun and all when enemies don't shoot gold at you all the time. Bobject is surely strong and ff course it was a well played battle, but half those situations on the battlefield could have much worse outcome if only enemies thought a bit more. I guess you just have to be lucky sometimes and use it as mach as you can. See ya in battles!

Always wondering how these tanks are makred. 100% battles on it have spg and ofcos all the fucking time stun by stun by stun by stun. Also not even once get ballanced team. Fucking always my 279 is ballanced by monkey team, to this level that enemies just push in 5-8 tanks and allies doing nothing, not even shooting till i die.. P.S. Cannot wait for the nerfs! Although I think community is getting picky about what is getting nerfed and if it is enough. Just remember it is only a supertest and we have no idea how much or even what stats will be tuned. But for now, as a community, we all should celebrate. This is something we have been asking for for over 5 years and many people, myself included, gave up hope of this ever happening. Also today is day TWENTY SEVEN asking for Charlemagne:)

I have the 279e. People like myself who grinded their ass of to finish all missions and get the tank did it because the tank is strong. The people who complain that the tank is OP are the ones who dont know how to play the game and never use gold ammo because of reasons only known to them. When i see the people suicide when 279e is in the battle i laugh and report them. The 279e is easy to play against, of course, sometimes you win the fight, sometimes not, thats just how the game works... Same goes for any other tank in game. Imho the nerfs are a bad move. Worst case scenario would be to limit it only to play vs tier 10 and leave it at that. Something like a preferential MM but only for tier 10. Lower tiers wouldn't be struggling anymore and the problem is solved. Learn to play, use gold ammo and stfu. Just my 2 cents.
