In that scenario, the writers would be throwing away years of Jay's interactions with the other ninja, as well as throwing away his entire character more than Wildbrain did. His relationship with Nya, being best friends with Cole. Being a crucial part of the team who knows how to lighten up a situation when it gets too dark. Removing all of that would be horrible, and just imagine how bad the backlash would be if Jay never regains his memories. What I think they should do, and what probably will be the case, is have him gain all his memories back, but have it take time.

I hope Jay regains his memory but Ras will manipulate him into being evil. Why? The ideal motivation would be the fact that no one was looking for him. The ninjas are all sitting together in the monastery and none of them will think "hmm, maybe it's time to find Jay, since we have nothing to do anyway." It's a bit sad how their relationship collapsed. I feel like they are more of a team than a family. Plus, this will be the first time they've done something more interesting with Jay since Skybound.

When wyldfire and co. put on the wolf masks during the finale and got them off rather anticlimatically, could their souls have been shattered or did they not wear them for long enough? Do you need to allow the mask to shatter you or does it happen just by wearing it too long? Probably the former.

I bet it depends how far gone they've shattered their soul, and how strong said soul is. Jay's got a strong soul and Cinder, depending on who he was before joining Ras, may have had a weaker soul compared to Jay. I would love next season be Nya, Cole, maybe Arin too trying to help Jay heal his soul after what Ras will put him through.

I haven’t seen this video, but I doubt Jay will stay evil forever. I mean take Zane for example. He was the ice emperor for six decades but then he became good again. That is a hot take indeed. That would destroy years of Jay's interactions with the other ninja, such as his relationship with Nya, him being best friends with cole, him learning to deal with the fact that his biological parents left him. Him being a vital component of the team as he makes jokes to make a situation less stressful. That may work for other shows, but not Ninjago.

I have a theory for dragons rising season 2 part 2 and onward. We know in the sets that Jay is evil, I think everyone knows that by now. We also learn in season 1 that Lloyd becomes a conduit for the energy source dragon. And in season 2 part 1 he gets visions of the blood moon, lord Ras, the wolf mask, etc. I think that in part 2, he may get visions of jay, kind of like Nya in that cave in episode 3. He may also warn everyone, because it’s possible that he may see jay, however he’s not the same. But that’s just a theory…a SHOW theory
