Really glad you guys enjoy this series a lot, yes it's sad at times but if you weren't invested in the characters and their turmoil you wouldn't feel sad for them.
@NerdishReact6 ай бұрын
True, but we knew what we were getting into. Everyone that recommended it sad it was really sad. Now we know why that is: every character is so well written that you can't help but to care for them deeply.

Absolutely heartbreaking. They deserved so much better.

The ending of this episode is a wonderful parallel to the end of episode 2. There, Joel received his purpose, and set off, leaving Ellie standing there, processing what happened. In this one, Ellie got her purpose, and walked off, leaving Joel standing there.

Ohh we didn't notice that! Thank you for pointing it out 🤗

This episode was sadder than Bill and Frank. Bill and Frank had over a decade of happiness together and got to go out on their own terms. Henry and Sam were just kids..

So true, they deserved better.

Fedra cleared the bank's tunnel, which was just between different branches of the same bank. The infected were in other tunnels, like sewers or whatever. I've heard of banks being connected by tunnels like that in some cities, and of course for security reasons they're not connected to anything else.

That's perfectly understandable tbh, it was heartbreaking and nerve wracking at the same time.

Sam was Henry’s “purpose” and when he lost his purpose. He had nothing to live for. It sucks so bad that he had to be one to do it too. This is a situation that Joel possibly avoided with his daughter by her dying so early on. Also, you guys reaction when they came up from the ground and that whole scene was priceless! So good. 😂 Such a great reaction vid. 😊

Just found your channel this past week. Good reaction to an emotionally tough episode. I live fairly close to Kansas City, so it was interesting to see it portrayed in this episode. I have always been a huge fan of Argentinian history and culture. I have never had a chance to visit there, but maybe someday. I subscribed to your channel, and look forward to your next reaction. Hope you both have a good day!

Thank you so much for joining us! It must be crazy to see a city you know in a post apocalyptic setting, right? We love that there's people out there who appreciate our culture 🧉🇦🇷 Argentina is a beautiful country with a lot of diversity everywhere you look so you'll love it if you ever come visit 😁 Thanks again for the support and have a great day!

The thing about tlou is...watching it as a show totally hits different..it was always pretty brutal in game but live action truly shows the brutality and at times the beauty..what the show has done it throw non fans through a hoop but in a way that's actually uber realistic
@NerdishReact6 ай бұрын
We love that the live action was used as a tool to enhance some aspects of the story to make it like this. We don't know the game, but we feel like it couldn't be any better.

Whew, this was a heavy one. But the characters and the acting are great all around. Kathleen came from a place of reason, but crossed the line a mile back and just kept going. She literally sacrificed all that remained of Kansas City for her personal vendetta. Her actress did a great job in selling that. Sam and Ellie were just great with each other until the inevitable happened. Henry was not ready for any of this, and Sam and he would never have made it that far if they hadn't met Joel and Ellie (and their actors nailed it). But that doesn't diminish the guilt and trauma Joel and primarily Ellie must feel. Oof. I like the parallelism at the end of the episode: When Tess died, Joel just walked away while Ellie was still processing what happened. Here it's the other way around. Ellie *really* needs a break.
@NerdishReact6 ай бұрын
Absolutely, all these characters are so well written, they make you feel a connection to them even if they only show up for an episode or two. We hadn't noticed Ellie's and Joel's parallelism, thank you so much for pointing it out 🤗

Comment for the algorithm! Personally, I say: While it's understandable why Lucy and Shuni are so jumpy, you don't need to be so much, actually. Joel has a LOT of experience in this world, so when he thinks it's safe, it usually is. You can usually trust his judgment on these things. Ellie is also smarter than you give her credit for. And as for Henry, I personally think he was correct about that tunnel they took. I got the impression that not all the tunnels are connected, so some of them might have been safe.
@NerdishReact6 ай бұрын
I mean, Joel has a lot of experience but even the best make mistakes sometimes. They're all human after all, so we can't help it lol we just feel like anything could happen at anytime 😅 Thank you so much for commenting and supporting ❤️

@NerdishReact6 ай бұрын
Absolutely agree with you on that, it's totally healthier. But at the same time, it's not something I choose to do, it's a trauma response, and I haven't gotten to the point of breaking through it yet.

I actually really enjoyed that npc story line for its actual substance.. you can resist and be good ....kaths brother probably was a good man... Suppose the questions would be why a resistance like none of that bs is on kaths brother or anyone... So messy but ya know..ones mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
@NerdishReact6 ай бұрын
Totally agree! And since he was a good man, he wouldn't cross the line even if it meant winning the fight. It would have been cool to see his character at some point.
