If you ask me games was far more cruel Sam didn't tell them he was bitten Ellies was smart enough to know blood sharing would never work As i remember ellie from the game If sam told ellie he was bitten her first response Would have been joel and Henry So he can have last moments with his brother The game cuts to black as Henry kills himself Its realistic and brutal The show is great I am just saying what I feel

@@CoalBurns yeah But like the fluidity in the game cutscene Henry cried he scream (in the show he was more in shock ) In game the fear I felt from Henry having the gun was so much he could have shot ellie and joel in his emotional state it was major possibility (but I didn't feel it in show ) And the final In show placing the gun on head was effective but it was slow While is the game henry shot himself so fast the utter shock and disbelief and emotion trauma was felt long after the black screen

Fun fact about the infected in the game. They are 100% still alive and aware of what is going on, the fungus just hijacks their motor functions. They are still seeing and feeling everything their body is being forced to do while the fungus slowly splits their skull open over years. In the game when the infected are not attacking something you can hear them crying and begging for someone to kill them. And when you first see infected in Boston one is a woman eating her friend that is crying saying “no stop please don’t make me”. It’d be cool if they showed stuff like this in the show but it doesn’t seem like they will

This episode is another reminder of how brutal and unforgiving this world is, regardless of who you are. Something as simple as running across a group of infected has catastrophic effects to deal with and even doing the right thing has consequences. It’s no wonder Joel closed his heart off in the first place. The quicker you get attached to someone, the more likely you are to lose them. But GOD, does it hurt EVERY TIME they make us fall in love with someone and then take them away.

*Bill and Frank's end wasn't tragic more like heart wrenchingly beautiful. Sure they chose to off themselves, but they both lived a surprisingly loving and long life. And in the end they chose to spend their last moments together and end their lives on their own terms. Where as Henry and Sam's end was tragic. Sam didn't chose to get infected he just did and their wasn't anything Henry can do and his grief he took his life. Not trying to argue just my personal opinion, both scenes were sad in their own way, but one was tragic*

Phenomenal episode once again. Seeing the Bloater in live-action was glorious. Ironically, it doing the jaw rip game over death on the original voice of Tommy was poetry. Melanie Lynskey was pretty ruthless in her short time on the show. She made every second of her appearance count. But.... Henry and Sam. What more can I say about them (other than me liking the change to have Sam be deaf in the show)? Beautiful bond, beautiful dynamic with Joel & Ellie and a tragic end to their tale. Damn, do I love this show.

This episode was a good reminder that this is a zombies franchise in a post apocalyptic world. The zombies were fucking RUTHLESS, especially the Bloater and the episode didn’t give everyone a “happy ending” just how real life is never truly sunshine and rainbows.

What made Sam’s death worse is that he was still there when he turned. So he was forced to watch himself ruthlessly attack Ellie before everything suddenly went dark. I honestly think he screamed after being alerted because he was begging himself to stop and at the very least scare Ellie enough for her to run away.

I've watched this episode multiple times and I still get emotional at the end. The writing, directing, cast and crew have all been amazing!! For those who don't know or haven't watched it yet, the directing, writing, acting and set design are just as amazing in the show Chernobyl. I'm sure plenty of people think the show Chernobyl is a horror show, but it's not. It's a recounting of how things went down when the reactor exploded. The director really knows how to bring emotion to every scene in Chernobyl and it is felt the same way in The Last of Us.
