Hi guys! I wanted to share something with you-when you hear the participants say "boy," "man," or "girl," they’re probably saying *boludo* or *boluda,* which is a super common word here in Argentina. Technically, it means “stupid” or “idiot,” but most people don’t use it that way all the time. Most of the time, it’s more like saying “dude” or “buddy.” For example, “Qué hacés, boludo?” basically means “What’s up, dude?” It can also be a way to emphasize something, kind of like how people use “man” or “bro” in English. That being said, it can also be used as an insult depending on the tone. If someone says, “Sos un boludo” in a serious way, they’re calling you an idiot. About the part where Santiago takes Emily to the River Plate stadium-that could be a really big deal here. It looks fun on the show, but I can’t help thinking that if it had been Emily taking Santiago to the Boca Juniors stadium, he would’ve stormed off in a rage. When Florfi's friend made that comment about skin color, it was WEIRD.

No boca juniors fan would get a membership from river plate club to get into a game and be in an ocean of die hard fans … he wouldnt be able to express anything cause he qould get punched to say the least.. besides, its really hard to get a membership, theres a waiting list

From what i can hear under the dub, he's calling her "boluda" which in no way means girl. Technically, it means idiot, but its a very argentinian term and in this context has nowhere near that meaning either. It's more akin to "dude" than "girl", hence why theres no machismo behind it. If youre listening to the Spanish version, you'll notice they all call each other boludo/a often. It's innocent!

Maybe it wasn't meant maliciously or as racism? Perhaps they meant they have the same colours, as in they look similar. It is sometimes said that couples that look alike physically work well together. So, coming from this, if they got along in the pods and then also look kinda similar, it could be a good sign for them working out. That's how I took it, at least...

hi guys! since like 2011, all argentinian football games are local fans only, for security reasons. so, unless its an international match, fans of the away team can't be on the stadium. (explanaition is a little bit more confusing but that's what i understood from watching games).

Lol it was pádel, not pickle ball. It’s really popular in Spain and Latin America. My husband is a tennis player and recently got into it here in Austin. And every time he goes to play all of them speak Spanish 😂

I watched the show in Spanish and the comment on the skin color didn't stand out to me. I think the original said skin tone? as in, we are both just as tanned. I'm from Spain, so maybe for an Argentinian it would sound off? And the teas they talk about are "mate".
