I feel like a jerk for thinking it, but I don’t think hanni deserves Daniel 🫣 I feel like she misrepresented her interactions with Ilias and is toxic. I don’t think she was ever going to leave Daniel for Ilias but if we remember she initially was flirting with him to make Daniel jealous and continued until she got her ego stroked enough. Even when Daniel got somewhat annoyed and said he was going to say something to Ilias she was like happy about it. Honestly don’t believe anyone this season should get married or have even signed up…except Daniel lol

In France, we have two sides: officially, the "mademoiselle" for unmarried women has been removed (even on official forms) because it seemed reductive for unmarried women (back in the old days, if you weren't married by 26, you were a "Catherinette" haha). the other side is like "mademoiselle is flattering" like they feel still young (my bff loves it, I don't care really, and we are 40) and basically it's used mostly by men when they try to hit on you because of the flattering thing (but it's risky because some women hate that). Also, in a workplace environment, you won't be referred as "mademoiselle" anyway. Overall, in reality, when teenagers start to call you "madame" OR when you start referring at people under 20 as kids: game's over. In French-Canada, it is similar to what you are describing. It used to be that you became a ‘Madame’ when getting married. Now, it is up to the women to decide what they wish to be called (or what box they want to check on a form). I work in Education and we have this thing in schools where kids will call their teacher ‘Madame Julie’, for exemple, being polite with the ‘Madame’ but still friendly with the first name (instead of using the last name).

The reunion is on 19th of Germany. I say it on my Netflix yesterday :D I also did not have the 'aaaaa- angels coming down from heaven' when I tried on my wedding dress. but yet again, I ordered it online and that was that :D no big deal here. Our wedding was still amazing and we had fun and we are happily married for 6 years now.

As for everyday use, the tendency is to align with the analysis of French feminist associations, which is that women shouldn't be identified by their marital status. So, even as a young 37 year-old, people would call you madame. Now, if you run into someone "old-school" or elderly, then they'd most likely call you "la jeune demoiselle" 😉

French here. Mademoiselle is supposed to be used when you’re unmarried and Madame when you are. As there is no equivalent for men since they are always Monsieur now at least administratively Madame is always used in forms and such.
