So FYI, most undertakers are already part of massive national chains. They all have cutesy Mom n' Pop names, but most undertakers and funeral home centers are controlled by something like 3 companies, they just give every branch it's own name. According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution. Ironically, alcohol was one of the things that saved my life when I started suffering a cytokine storm due to COVID-19 about the time you released this video. I figured out that the problem was that any fluids I drank went into my blood vessels and then leaked into the tissues of my body, including my lungs. Since I knew that hangovers are caused by dehydration, I tried to get one in hopes that my body would use limited fluids for only the most essential things and it did. I didn't know that but I was well on my way to dying in a few days if I didn't at least try something different. I used alcohol and anything else I could think of that would make me pee out more fluids than I drank and it worked. The crazy thing was that I went from feeling very mildly ill for nine days to waking up on day ten and having my condition become serious in only a few hours. It took me about three days to dehydrate myself out of a pretty dire condition and, despite trying to get a hangover, I never did get one until I was better about two months later.

@NeighborSenpai4 жыл бұрын

@Silkenray4 жыл бұрын
OCD crash course! OCD has two components, obsessions and compulsions. Obsessions are repeated and frequent unpleasant, unwanted thoughts that we cannot control and that make us very anxious, guilty and/or distressed. There are loads of different kinds of obsessions, but the most relevant right now are contamination and hypochondriacal obsessions.o People with contamination obsession fear that their environment is contaminated, or that they have touched something that is contaminated and they will get sick or make others get sick. People with hypochondriacal obsession fear that they already have a serious disease. There are many, many other kinds of obsessions, but these are the ones that are most relevant for the current situation. Compulsions are rituals or repetitive actions that take up at least an hour of the day, and are focused at preventing the thing we fear, nullifying or cancelling the thought, or trying to reassure ourselves that what we fear isn’t happening. Someone with contamination obsessions may try to prevent the thing they fear by compulsively washing their hands for hours a day, until their skin cracks and bleeds, or may spend hours a day cleaning the same surfaces over and over. Someone with hypochondriacal obsessions may try to disprove that they are sick by compulsively checking their temperature dozens or more times per day. Compulsions make us feel better but only short-term, and they take up a lot of time and can be very disruptive. They also in the longer term reinforce the obsession by telling the brain that it is a real problem to be feared. The gold standard treatment for OCD is exposure and ritual prevention therapy (ERP), which involves gradually, over the course of months, exposing ourselves to increasingly higher anxiety situations so that we experience the obsession without doing the compulsion. The big problem right now is that a lot of the sensible advice for avoiding spread of coronavirus is similar enough to our compulsions that it is really really hard to follow the advice without falling back into compulsive behaviour and reinforcing the obsessions.

We did one better than spending the last 4 years in a war. We spent the past 18 years two wars.

The big things that I took away from this is that Alice does not respect the seaplane float and don't spit.

The day before the restrictions on gatherings happened in Australia, we had a Hillsong (basically trendy megachurch) conference. Also, bottle shops (liquor stores) are apparently essential and are remaining open!

22:32 No, see, in WWI times the Bund were the good guys. Of course, it was a different, Yiddish-speaking Bund; the other, German-speaking Bund hadn't been invented yet.

*winces* Um, in September 1918 the war was not winding down. Nobody - not even the Germans - had any idea that Germany would capitulate that November. The US needed money because it was still expanding the military and producing new "wonder weapons" for the planned Spring 1919 offensive. Two examples were the infamous Pedersen device - which would've converted bolt-action Springfield and Enfield rifles into high-capacity pistol-caliber firearms - and the M1918 BAR, both of which were considered so revolutionary that the few troops who had been trained in their use before reaching Europe had them taken away in-theater.
