Weirdly enough, while actual VRam usage is only at around 6-6.5gb on high textures, streets (3060 Ti 8GB btw.). I would get microstutters and occasional crashes on online raids. I wasn't sure if it had anything to do with the max. allocation of my VRam, so I activated Mip-Streaming and saw a small average improvement to my performance and all the persisting issues were gone. I do have ARC enabled, but I've never come close to reaching the 32gb limit, so I can hardly tell if it's working as intended or not.

I think the crashes you were getting *might* have been related to your RAM overflowing to your paging file. If you have 16 GB of RAM it definitely was, and that's been the source of a good bit of crashes (though most of those were BSODs). MIP streaming will help bypass that by drawing directly from the drive, which is likely why the crashes stopped. Just a theory though so don't take my word as God's.

Process lasso has a function called Smart trim. You can enable this per app. Helps with improper ram functions. Dont know if you knew that, maybe you have tested it already.

Wait you are telling me it cleans RAM only when you hit Escape? Okay. That would make your game tank down and have a lag spike in an important moment. As someone who doesn't have a NASA pc, never tried Streets so i don't know how it runs on my PC. Why is this game not more optimised as loading in, getting textures, sound ques, graphical options can take a dump on your PC?

Tbh nobody really knows, optimization of some sort has been requested by the community for years. First few years when the alpha released, the game would stutter horribly no matter how high end your pc was. Doesn’t really happen if you have a “High end pc” so maybe that’s what they assumed was optimization. This wipe is supposed to have some performance improvements, and they’ve hinted at wanting faster loading times, I remember loading maps used to be much faster… But yeah pretty much what it boils down to: They are slowly working on a performance patch, they first brought it up before this wipe, but then moved it to this upcoming wipe, Soontm moment

Keep in mind that optimization is a lot harder than it sounds and requires control of a lot of moving parts. Tarkov, in particular, is extremely complex, and that complexity needs to be tracked somehow. Your CPU has to do some of that heavy lifting there, and thus explains part of the issue with making this game more performance-accessible (in a really basic sense).

I used MSI Afterburner here, but I've recently switched to using HWInfo to collect some of this data.

So what is a point? What can i do with 3070 8gb and rzyen 5 5500 with 32gb memory to game going smooth and no big lagg? What i need to set? ( And finally can use the scope, because i go interchange or lighthouse i can use scope because 60-40 fps i got and lagging :( )

According to official BSG help desk requests, a fix to some crashes is to increase paging file size to 20-25 GB (full email in my discord). It seems like the game might be using the page file too much in certain scenarios, causing issues for some with crashing. (As far as performance goes, though, nah.)

I believe this is due to bad optimization of the game but figured id ask someone that has broken down the options of the game so well. Amd 3700x and radeon 6950xt. I can play every game at max graphics with over 150 frames (i test this is bf2042 on 120player conquest) tarkov doesnt utilize more than 40% gpu and 30% gpu unless i set the game to 2x or 4x upscaling which hurts when the fps drops. I have the ram cleaner that the company that makes DDU running and cant get it any improvements, still stuttering, still low usage and low fps on minimum settings. Any suggestions for things for me to look at?

That 3700x is not a powerful enough CPU for Tarkov (among some upcoming modern releases). CPU Demands are increasing for high refresh rate gaming, and Tarkov falls victim to that due to its complexity. Sure, it could be due to poor optimization, but I have no way of looking and seeing what that is, so I do not like to claim that. They are continuously working on that front but the simple fact is that this game inherently is quite CPU demanding due to its extremely complex nature. TLDR: It's a big CPU bottleneck, and you'll feel that more over the next year or so.

Thanks, I had a feeling the cpu could be the culprit from my research a higher ghz clocking cpu would be more favorable over a higher core count/thread count especially for tarkov. Would you agree with that as an idea on where to go to? @@klemintime1452

Pretty much, but there's more to it than just that (aka Cache). The best CPU for your current build as a drop in upgrade right now is NO DOUBT the 5800x3d. Amazing performance gains for gaming and it absolutely shreds tarkov (definitely 60-70 FPS + on streets).

@@klemintime1452 as an update to this thread, I got myself an early Christmas/birthday present and bought an 5800x3d and an aio water cooler. For 400 bucks the improvements have been insane, running all maps at 160 fps (capped) and streets at 100-140 fps. thanks for the recommendation so worth it.
