You´re outrageous! What you have explained between 06:00-06:30 just got me better performance with my 7800X3D. At least in Arena I went from 70-100fps (w/ little stutterings) to 100-140 (smooth af).
@mtp3n3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for this! I followed most of your suggestions and my average fps went up by at least 30-40. I run a RTX3090 and 10900k and didn't realise that I could've gotten a much higher fps count until I watched this video.
@GrandmasterDoggo5 ай бұрын
Hopefully the FPS optimization with this wipe according to the roadmap are actual decent. Then I won't have to buy a x3d chip from AMD to get any sizable performance increase.
@opticalsalt23065 ай бұрын
Id like to add that even with a 5800x3d, you need something comparable to a 6700xt+ or the map will still run like ass, I have a 5800x3d + 6600xt and the map still runs horrible, mostly higher than 60 BUT 1% lows are still terrible because of how bad the map runs, and Im a power user who repastes monthly and dusts weekly, thermals are not part of the equation here, this might even be because the map just straight up uses more than 8gb of vram on low textures, but I seriously doubt this
@checkybox5 ай бұрын
@@opticalsalt2306 R5 5600 + 6650 XT user here. Almost every other map runs on medium textures just fine, but streets seem to lag even on low textures preset. Also, I should note that I play on 2560x1440 resolution with PCI-e 3.0 only, not the usage case you would expect for an entry-level GPU. Guess that's what makes my performance even worse.
@poggy29045 ай бұрын
@@opticalsalt2306 I've never seen anything like this game perfomance wise, IT IS SO CRAZY.. Some maps higher settings yield better fps on my pc, I have to actually change settings individually for each map if i wanna reach my absolute peak fps.. 💀

I have a 4080 ventus and 7800x3d. To put in comparison arena break out runs a smooth 240 fps with full utilisation of my gpu. Tarkov cannot use more than 50% gpu and 40% cpu.
@KungThulhuАй бұрын
I have done every legitimate optimization i have found and on a 2070 and r5 5500 16gb ddr4 ram i still play at average of 50fps and often drop to the 40 with very rare spikes to 70. Its a pain i want to enjoy the game but it legit just wont run well no matter what.

Don't forget to check your RAM after every Windows update because I didn't notice that one of the Windows updates in the last 6 months actually turned off XMP so I've been running at half ram since then 😅

I will get an x3d cpu in 2025 late spring wich is a long way but until that i hope the next wipe fps optimization and unity 2022 will do something cause yeah i have 80-110 fps on low but on streets i have 50-60 and when i use a vudu or any other scope i get 30-40fps and with the x3d i would have atleast 90fps on streets according to benchmarks and few friends of mine
@themarketgardener5 ай бұрын
I'm not sure about ReBAR since judging by your older ReBAR videos there weren't any significant benefits. On other game benchmarks on youtube it's either a slight gain or a slight loss which makes me think it's best to leave it disabled atm.
@themarketgardener5 ай бұрын
To add to this, I think you said it's okay to leave it disabled from Bios OR enabled in both Bios and NVPI.
@opticalsalt23065 ай бұрын
Yeah, just leave it disabled unless its a game you KNOW greatly benefits from it, which is mostly AAA games or niche random games
@klemintime14525 ай бұрын
@@themarketgardener That's correct- I believe I did mention that but I'm not sure if I correctly linked the video for it; I'll go check now. Right now, I have ReBAR forced on via NPI by default. Having it just *on* was the worst of the bunch in terms of how it was allocating VRAM then, but I will do a retest at some point after the wipe.

I have a 3080 laptop with an i9-11900H and 32gb ram, and if I come off DLSS, I go from ~35% GPU usage, to 100%. Going off HWiNFO, I'm extremely close to thermal throttling the GPU and the increased GPU temps cause my CPU to thermal throttle. I've listened to most of your guidance, but unfortunately, I think I'm trapped in the DLSS shadow realm, unless you have any further advice. Listening to most of your guidance, I think I'm just unfortunately limited by the constraints of decent hardware being trapped in a tiny box. Had the computer for two years, so it's probably time for new thermal paste and a deep clean, but I have a feeling that's not going to remedy my woes.
@klemintime14525 ай бұрын
The laptop's thermal system clearly is having problems handling the full heat load of the GPU under 100% load, so you could do one of the following: - Continue using DLSS, reducing the load on your GPU enough to reduce the heat load. - Frame Cap your game to ensure that the system isn't bottlenecked on *either* part of the system. This would reduce the work the GPU and CPU are doing (given the same scenario), reducing power draw and heat. - You could also lower the max wattage of the GPU on the laptop, reducing its power draw and heat output even if you hit that 100%. The GPU would perform worse but that wouldn't matter if you were CPU bound for a given scenario (the GPU wouldn't be the bottleneck)> If you need more help, feel free to ask while I'm on stream or in my discord and I can explain in more detail :)
@UpToSpeedOnJaguar5 ай бұрын
@@klemintime1452 thanks buddy. I joined your Discord last night. I'll do some benchmarks in streets and take a couple screenshots of my specs to open up a thread over there. Even when my CPU is throttling, I still have boatloads of headroom there, the GPU just seems to be chugging with DLSS off. Hoping to get to around 75fps with it off, as I just have an extremely hard time seeing threats around 40+ meters away with it turned on, not to mention how jarring the blurred image it creates during moving can be.

Funny enough, my setup is somewhat balanced "for tarkov" (3060 Ti + Ryzen 5 7600), but I'll upgrade my GPU to a 4070 Super by next month. Hopefully I'll see a decent performance improvement with the upcoming wipe.

Well I got the GPU now, and performance on every map but streets got improved by a decent margin (from 100 fps average to around 120-130fps). Streets tho is heavily CPU-bound and I get between 70-85fps depending on the area (sometimes dropping into the 60s)

Hello, just wanted to start by saying this videos have been very informative and I have learnt a lot from your content. @MajorYogurt5 ай бұрын
Not to be a dick but i enabled xmp and now my computer is fucked, thanks man. (EDIT) okay, so i got the issue fixed, to clarify it was not your fault and i wasn't blaming you it was mine and i should have researched more before i did anything, my cpu is 3200 hrtz and my ram is 3600, i think what happened is it crashed the cpu and after trying to reset the bio's it still wouldn't work it was boot looping and saying that my gpu and/or ram was erroring so i thought my motherboard and so on was fucked. the issue was the prongs to reset the bio's apparently only reset the "Flash Bio's" so i had to take out my gpu and remove the battery part form the mother board which finally worked and reset the bio's. To summarize, thought i fucked my pc, learned a few things today, fixed my pc.
@klemintime14525 ай бұрын
Hm- thats odd. Seems to me like the XMP's Profile 1 has too strict timings for the system. Try Profile 2 for the RAM as that has looser timings that might work better. If its not booting, you can easily reset the BIOS by either removing the CMOS battery, jumping the pins on the board to reset it, or by pressing the reset BIOS button if your board has it. If you need help figuring it out, ask me (or the others) in my discord. I can help. (P.S. oops, didn't see the edit. Glad you got it fixed but you might still be able to get that faster memory if you want to. Just ask in the discord and we can help!)

i tried many different increase fps videos and i found all to be useless none worked for me you would think that a system with a ryzen 7950x and a 4090 and 32gb ram should be enough to run tarkov at decent frames and yet here i am wanting to vomit when running around in tzarkov with bearly 60fps and on some maps like streets even down to 20 fps on avg wich is disgusting bsg should just optimize thier shitshow of a game or switch to an alternative engine than unity
