They often have Chinese buffets on Christmas, which is so great because you can eat like crazy (if you're so inclined) and there's no cleanup! Taking it easy is definitely my speed as well.

Love your videos. I live in the U.S in South Carolina. I totally feel everything you have talked about in the last several videos. I myself have been through what you have been through and here at the holidays its hard after divorce and dad not here and other factors but we can be here for each other and all discuss our situations and share our hearts and minds to lift us up and encourage each of us. Im always alone at Christmas time n its hard but i get over it.I sleep early in both Christmas n New year..without my mom n my brothers,Christmas is not Christmas anymore for me but i love playing Christmas classics n put up a tree just to make the place merry..lol..I give thanks to the lord n pray for Peace on Earth cz i hv been following the wars in ukraine n middle east n all the chaos in this world n so I pray that God will take care to all the people, all over the world particulary the homeless n the orphans n the widows..Happy Holidays to you n have a wonderful Christmas..Greetings frm Shillong, India.🌲🍁🌲

Hi Danielle. I'll be alone on Christmas Day. Long story short. We lost Mum back in 2011 from lung cancer. My brother and sister in law live a few hundred miles away. I will be with Dad on Christmas Eve, then chilling by myself on Christmas Day. Feels good, doesn't it?!! I live in the UK..I'm eight hours ahead of you. If you go live, I will pop in and say hello. Hi Danielle your video of being alone at Christmas just popped up today I totally understand you I would love a peaceful Christmas it's not too hectic there's me and my husband and son then our daughter and partner and grandson which don't live with us so will probably see them at some point on the day I get so overwhelmed being too busy I'm in the UK lots of people live on their own through choice so they are not lonely my sister is on her own , I think Christmas is so overrated you should be doing this and doing that no it's whatever you want it to be anyway I've rambled on enough 😂 lovely to meet you 😊❤

Yeah, the hectic nature of the holiday is just the worst because it's touted as being "family values." I disagree very much, but I know some feel differently. I'm really liking the process of choosing my foods to eat and which treats to prepare--just for me! I don't have to worry about this person not liking this or having that dietary restriction. I can just make what I want. Boy is it liberating! Nice to meet you too!

Hi Danielle, your channel found me this evening. I 100% know where you are coming from. My view on Christmas is similar to yours and I have been having solo Christmas’s for more years than I care to say. It is very overrated in my opinion. Sneaking a bit of french in here, since I am learning the language, and have ancestors that lived in southern Quebec, one actually was in the Amerian Revolution. Are you in the Vancouver area? The youtuber Danger Cats relates there are meditation drum circles in that area. That person had put out some funny but raw videos about Canada. Any truth to that? This is a great conversation, I think you have a really good attitude. For some of us, being alone is fine, it doesn't mean we are lonely :) I have been reading the comments others have left and they are all very encouraging and supportive which I really appreciate.

I have been a salesperson before, but not as of late. Right now I work in a commerical bakery. So, not public facing, but definitely still customer service. I've never been a big time socializer, even as a kid. I used to have birthday parties that were with one friend, maybe two at most. Too many people is overwhelming; I get it.

Your interesting & pleasant face just popped up on my algorithm last week, so I clicked on it since my algorithm seems to know me well or it must have concluded that because I'm single I must be lonely.😉 I agree with you, I'm just fine just being with myself, not everyone is meant to be paired up (unless you're Adam & Eve and need to populate the world)😉 My comments can also be directed at others here since Xmas time can be a lonely time for many. I Enjoy your insights and comments. When I do get down or bored, I like to put on my headphones and listen to 80s & 90s music, I recently found a KZbinr "Moreno J Mixes" ,that makes amazing videos by coordinating dance & movie clips with his pop music remixes. (the next best thing to a time machine for those of you that miss the 80s and 90s). Bye for now.

Yep! Some folks do need a lot of personal space and that's not a bad thing! Glad you found a cool music channel that you like. I like listening to records when I get overwhelmed with the world. It's just audio being amplified through a needle. No internet. Just sound. It might make me sound like an old fogie, but it is my favourite thing to do! I still cant believe last Christmas..things werent great between myself and my ex girlfriend.. as a final gesture of goodwill.. i bought her a new tv..and got physically attacked by her... as a December baby..this is my favorite time to of year..Hoping the trauma wont impact this year
