Wow.. I am always in awe of Hawaiian values and practices and the way that connection to land is instilled in the children.. it makes me see how different my own cultural upbringing was as a white kid in Brisbane, Australia. I have however been growing a couple of varieties of kalo in my garden for a few years now and have formed a special relationship with the plant.. after listening to Jerry Konanui and others, I learned a lot and in some way I feel connected to a deeper culture. Mahalo nui 🌿
