Alê is definitely the foundation of this group. They are not The Warning without her. In addition to Pau, Alé writes a lot too. Some of their most popular songs were penned by Alé when she was only 12 and 13 years old. Their non-verbal communication is off the charts and at levels most bands will never achieve. If you pay attention, and you are looking for it, you will see the girls communicate with each other with just a look, nod, smile... etc. They are very special ladies, and I totally agree that movies and docs will be written about them. @@moose6666 I'm a big fan from The Warning but no honey, Evanescence is top tier and the most listened active female fronted band til date... The Warning just achieve 1 million listeners per month, Haletorm has around 7 and Evanescence is always between 17 to 20 million listeners per month, they hold the house name of the tour and is great Ev decided to have The Warning as openers, they are most likely be invited to do something on stage with Amy and Lzzy, Amy is such a fan of harmonies and the 3 of them bring it in that scenario so the big surprises of the night will be happening in Evanescence or Halestorm set, plus you can't deny the range Amy or Lzzy has, Danny is getting better reaching Lzzy type of vocals but Amy voice is pristine , I just saw Evanescence 2 weeks ago in a festival, they were the closing band for the 2nd biggest stage and that stage was packed, over 50 thousand people watching them... and that is a regular thing with Evanescence they sold out each place they have ever played since 2015, so it's great they are giving light and support to The Warning which they still need it, they are still growing and have reached a lot but there is nothing better than exposing them to the crowds of the most listened female fronted band meaning Evanescence. Paulina in a way is like Amy, involved in everything musically, from writting lyrics, to piano parts, to then do harmonies and mellodies and play virtuoso piano while singing same as Pau does with drums and sing... plus Emma Anzai from Sick Puppies is one of the best bassist out there and she is been officially with Evanescence for 3 years, I'm sure Alejandra will be very excited to meet her and both share interesting musicianship and time together, that whole tour is full of talent in every band, every member from each band is top notch in rock music.

It was done for all groups not just The Warning. If you watch the intro to this concert(The full concert video), Dany is holding one up,(I would imagine was given to her by a fan at the meet & greet before the show.) saying it was decorated in the outfit she wore at the Monterrey show. Also Pau states around that time in the video "If you're getting Dr. Simi, you have made it." From what I understand, the "tradition" of tossing them on stage was killed by some venues banning the practice. (Could be a safety issue, dark venue, don't notice it on the stage, step on it and end up on your butt, type thing. Speculation there. But usually when something like that happens(someone slipping and falling,) it tends to cause changes.)

Pau is the beating heart of TW. She's the main songwriter/arranger/lyricist and she's the electronics wizard in command of the tracks they use so well. She is just as good a singer as Dany though on a different kind of song involving singing emotionally and from the heart. Check out 23 to see how emotional she can be while singing and playing complex drum parts. On Narcisista from this same concert she lets a fried take over the drums, comes out front, and steals the show.

I'll settle for Pau singing wherever she can, with the occasional guest drummer or on a song that doesn't need a drummer. I'd really rather have her singing from behind the kit than to have the band bring in a permanent 4th member to replace her on drums. Doing that would put a damper on the magic that they have, together and would open the band up to drama and some other negatives, such as increased payroll, division of ownership of rights to intellectual material and that kind of thing. Plus, Pau's a damn good world class drummer.

The only problem with Pau fronting the band, is that her voice does not always cut through the mix. Her darker timbre will often get washed out by the bass parts. Volume is not an issue with her, she sings out very loud and clear, but that does not always translate in the live band setting. I agree that she has charisma for days. I would argue that her singing is probably the third or fourth most important thing she does in the band. Her song writing and composing is the number one thing, followed by her drumming. Then I would say its a toss up between her singing and her energy level. She is a stick of dynamite set off on stage, that ensures you will never see a flat performance from these sisters. It is fun to turn her loose from behind the kit on occasion. 🤘🏻😀

Aside from this being their biggest show to date production-wise, it was important for them because several of their teachers and mentors came up and played with them onstage for a couple different songs. Unfortunately we don’t see that here because this was actually recorded over two nights, Aug 26 and Aug 29, 2022, and they did not include it in this official version. Ale’s longtime bass teacher, Pablo Gonzalez Sarre came up the first night and played bass alongside Ale. He plays in the Mexican band Los Claxons. He was more than a bass teacher, he taught them music from an early age and gave them an assignment to each write a song. That assignment turned into their first EP. There are some videos of him and a very young Ale playing some pretty impressive jazz bass. Later Pau’s drum teacher, who plays in the band Kinky, comes up and drums on Narcissista while Pau goes full on Mick Jagger. At the end of the show Pau was overwhelmed with emotion and in tears and Ale was comforting her, as @Dale-m9t was referring to.

Johnny, you get it. Pau is a lead singer, as good in her own right as Dany. There is no question that if she were not the drummer, she could be the lead singer for any of many bands. The rasp in her voice and her vibrato are both epic. The thing on Dany's lap may well be a Dr. Simi doll. If you are a beloved performer in Mexico, the fans throw Dr. Simi dolls on stage for you. They each got at least one during these performances. Dr. Simi is the mascot of a pharmacy chain in Mexico.

Pau developed that "front woman" vibe both due to her natural "life of the party" personality, and the fact she's been encouraged to sing while playing drums from the very beginning since she was like seven years old. Plus, her lyrical creativity helps, too - she bangs away on the family piano, thinking up music and words, playing and singing snippets just as part of the "development process". She's only behind the kit because, well, she likes to hit things (just ask Cathy). 😋

First, tickets to their concerts are comparatively and relatively REALLY cheap. Not including taxes and fees, I paid $56 for two tickets to their upcoming October 9th show in Los Angeles. Of course, it's more for tickets which include a Meet & Greet with the band. Unfortunately, those were sold out in about ten minutes before I was able to snag them this year. I did last year though. If I remember correctly, I believe that the total cost for two was around $150. Obviously, it'll all change drastically cost-wise, when they start regularly headlining 20k-seat arenas and have to pay for massive PA and lighting systems to be transported with semis and hung by an exponentially-larger crew plus union labor, etc. What you're seeing on Dany's lap is a "Dr. Simi" plush doll. He's the mascot of a pharmacy chain in Mexico. Somehow, it became a thing there a while back to toss the dolls up on stage as a gift for performers. The story is that the girls have amassed quite a collection of them from fans over the years.
@JohnnyFoxtrotshowАй бұрын
I paid a fair price for my tickets as well. I was more speaking in general across the board where you're paying almost double the cost of the ticket in fees to anybody but the actual artists. I need to get me one or those plushes 🤣

The doll on Dany's lap is a character from tv commercials in Mexico for a pharmacy chain or something, and the dolls are a "thing" in Mexico. Someone tossed it up on the stage. It's intended to be endearing and Dany acknowledged that by placing the figure on her lap . The reason it appears and disappears throughout the song (and the reason the guitar player's shirt goes back and forth between plaid and solid) is that the chicas played the Teatro on the 26th of August and again on the 29th, and footage was used from both concerts to put the whole thing together. (As I understand it. I can't quote sources. It's all on KZbin somewhere. 😊)

The problem is that bands make doodle squat from streaming services and most people don’t buy LPs or CD anymore. SO bands must perform live shows to survive in the industry. And to attract more people’s attention to fill bigger and bigger venues they must invest in their light show and special effects. THAT costs lots of money, They are just on the cusp of touring with more “stuff”, having a couple of rucks hauling their equipment around (which costs money, too). There are some firms that bands can hire to do their lights and special effects, but the band still pays for the people to set it up, tear it down, haul it around and operate it during the show. The real benefit of using those services is that your own people don’t need to learn how to do everything. I believe for this show they used the same guys who do Halestorm’s shows.
@JohnnyFoxtrotshowАй бұрын
The shows will only get bigger for them and those budgets will increase for the stage production you were referencing. Live shows and merch are the name of the game for money in the Artists pocket. People just listening isn't enough anymore in the steaming era ⚡️🤘🧸

"Primo" means cousin. I'm not sure where you cut off the last track, but Dani starts a chant of "Primo, Primo..." as he is coming out on stage. I agree that Pau is at least just as good a front person as Dani, if not that actually better natural front. And it's nice to see her out front. However, I really like the vibe of her fronting from the kit. She turns the kit into a dancing partner. I feel like Pau's and Dani's voices are twins. They seem identical, but as you get to know them they have little nuances that are unique.

Like Skywolf I saw them in the UK and Dublin for around $25-30. The only UK show they’ve announced so far for next year is around $50, so the price escalation has started. What I do hope for the future is that they will still play smaller venues as well as the stadiums they’re destined to be in. It’s a bit of a conundrum about Pau leaving the drums to front the band. I don’t think Pau can do what Dany does, and vice versa. Two of the shows I saw this year I was directly in front of Dany (the very first people to get in always rush to the middle and Ale’s side of the stage!!!). As I’m sure you’ve seen she is a real class act, it’s only the fact that they’re a three piece you maybe don’t notice it so much as she’s not front and centre like a Lzzy Hale. I honestly don’t think you could change the dynamic of the band without diminishing it. Finally, an odd one. I was watching a reaction of the Pol’and Rock show by someone who said that they are a musician. They actually said “if TW are going to play big stages like this, they’ll have to add another guitarist”. I never realised the size of the stage makes a difference, or am I missing something???
@JohnnyFoxtrotshowАй бұрын
Sounds like someone just wants to get picked up for the warning 🤣 🤣 . I disagree with their comment. Blink 182 has always been a trio and they have been doing stadiums for years. I have NEVER felt there needed to be another guitar player like let's say "green day" has on stage. But that is more for Billie Joe to be able to not play at times and work crowds with someone still playing the music live. Like you said, they have it figured out and it doesn't need to change. Stadiums or not, their placement is what works and will work on big stages as well. ⚡️⚡️⚡️🤘🧸
