Fair enough, but this is the t35 toner. It's like more neutral (as opposed to silver or ashen). Other toners neutralize warmth in the hair. I feel like this particular one works WITH the warmth. I can most definitely tell you it's looks MUCH better than un-toned bleached hair. But I can see where you can say it looks brassy. Hopefully my explanation can help you see why it looks like that I hope that makes sense

@@TigrePup I know hairdressers are in love with caramel hi lites, because they can be accomplished with less damage. However, I have never had a client ask for them. They want ash.

Great review, if I want maybe 2 shades darker than this which one do you recommend??

Hi, these are toners and this particular one is the darkest of all the Wella toners as it requires that you reach the Gold stage of lightening. If you want two shades darker you might have to use a demi permanent haircolor but I'm not sure what level or base to recommend without a physical consultation. I noticed that right away too. Wella side (right) looks great. It also has more golden lustre. Generic looks flatter.
