I’ve been a colorist for 19 years and have been using Wella KP since day one… The color shade range can not be beat! It takes a little while to understand and learn how to work with but I will never use anything else! I’ve NEVER had a 100 percent gray client EVER ❤that KP could not cover 100 percent! My signature color on myself is half 6/71 and half 5/71… The 7 tonal family is just stunning!❤❤❤

Then why can’t cover my greys which aren’t considered “resistant” in Wella’s case. Mine aren’t wiry . BUT I tried 66/0 with 6/77, 75% +25%. It was not too bad. I tried 6/0+6/77 but 50%+50%, it came out a little translucent. Should I try 6/0 +6/77 again but 75%+25? Also, is it true what I’ve read on forums, about NOT using intense natural (double digits) alone or with any fashion colours? They say intense natural should be mixed with other intense naturals or pure naturals which have a single zero, eg.6/0

Hi, i have an important question. I am going to use the 12/81 shade to nuance, but I have read that later you have gray hair. So I'm going to mix it with the 12/00 tone, my tone is ash blonde and traces of gray from the silver shampoo. Do you think these shades will make my hair white? And what volume do I have to use, 20 or 30 I want it icy white. Like the one from Frozen 😂🙏🏻🙏🏻 please help me

There’s no way to answer this question. Need to know the natural level, porosity, percentage of grey, etc…, not so simple.

If my hair is a level 9 or 10 very light blonde with yellow undertones, will Koleston 0/00 make it a icy white blonde ? ( not silver/grey) . If not what would I need to use to achieve that look ?
@vanessawanner51803 жыл бұрын
You’ll need to cancel out the yellow with a violet tone to get a true icy white on a level 10. A level 9 might not be light enough to achieve what you’re looking for. You could try using a mix of color touch 10/6 +10/81+ 10/0

@@vanessawanner5180 hello . I'll have to speak to my hairdresser. I was trying to do it at home but im too scared to mix up my own toner and whatnot in case I ruin my hair 😭. I do have a bottle of osmo purple shampoo on my first hairdressers recommendation. But that seems to turn hair way too silver/grey which I don't want eek
@liambianco41863 жыл бұрын
0/00 is definitely not a tool for giving you a white blonde result. Just because the swatch is pretty doesn’t mean thats what its going to do to your hair. 0/00 is a colour tool us colourists use to alter hair colour formulas in the salon to get the perfect result. It is an additive. This is why general public should NOT be allowed to buy professional hair colour online without proving you’re a professional in the industry. To get a true white you need to lighten the hair first (usually a lightener/bleach is used) and then toned to white. Even at a level 9 naturally. High lift series might work but still would not get a white result. Book in with a well respected colourist in your local area for a consultation. Do not attempt yourself. In short - 0/00 is NOT a toner.
@_year-sb6sy3 жыл бұрын
@@liambianco4186I appreciate your input .... but you are coming off just a little bit condescending... I only asked the question. I know im not a professional and I know that the colour on the search isn't necessarily what you get . Im getting my hairdresser to do anyway, she'll do a good job im sure ! Much better then anything I could achieve
@liambianco41863 жыл бұрын
@@_year-sb6sy sorry if i came across condescending lol. Tbh im more confused as to why wella is putting this info out there to be misinterpreted by the general public. I am new to wella color products. I am confused with the developers, with other brands I used to buy a kit and the color and developer come together on the needed quantity. What it means 1:1? can you talk in ml? I see a bottle of color is 60 ml, 1:1 means you need 60 ml of the developer too? would appreciate clarification on this.
@iseleylaura Жыл бұрын
No, it just means however much colour you use, use the same volume of developer. So for example if you have a 60 ml bottle of colour but only want to use half (30 ml), then use 30ml of developer with it. Equal parts of both.
@FatiFleur-jn7ky Жыл бұрын
Yes it's as simple as that. 60ml developer = 60 ml colouring.

If I mix wella koleston perfect me rich naturals in color 8/97 and mix it 1:1 with 12%developer on hair level 6 and 5, can I get the color of 8/97
@liambianco41863 жыл бұрын
This wont work unfortunately. Even with a 40 volume developer youd find a lot of brassy undertones would be exposed leaving you with a really golden/orange result. If you want the look of an 8/97 you would be better off using 7.1 with 0/11 booster and 9% but even that would still show some warmth. If i was looking after someone with a 6/5 base colour i would lighten the hair first with a gentle bleach cleanse and then deposit 8/97 over the too once the hair is lightened to a level 8. Just my opinion hope this gives you some insight :)

Is Wella Koleston Perfect 8/0 and 88/0 the same shade? if Not, what is the difference.
@vanessawanner51803 жыл бұрын
88/0 has more pigment than an 8/0 resulting in a more opaque/darker look for grey coverage. 88/0 could be similar to a 7/0, for example.

How can we use /11 ? Does it replacing blue corrector ?
@liambianco41863 жыл бұрын
There is still a blue corrector in koleston perfect (0/88). 0/11 is better used in my experience for cancelling out unwanted warm tones for levels 6 - 9. It will give you a cooler result but still a soft tone not inky. Id use my 0/88 & 0/28 for my deeper shades to counteract orange/red undertones or if i am purposefully creating a green / blue result for the guest. Sidenote* 0/81 is probably my favourite special mix shade to mix into my formulas :) :)
