As I’ve said before I ride Hunters but am switching to Jumpers. My instructors have always used dressage in some form in my training to the point I could do simple tests on the right horse. I road due to injury a retired Grand Prix Warmblood for a while & I knew just enuf to do simple moves. I never pushed him. Now I’m driving my trainer crazy because of my Dressage training. I don’t have the classic Hunter seat or technique, though I consistently won or pinned high, been Reserve or Champion & went to the IHSA Nationals in Equitation o/f. Go figure. I guess I have a hybrid seat. My trainer keeps telling me to stop watching Dressage videos but you’re so helpful & has served me well in Jumpers. Love your channel!

I spy a place I've taken an awful lot of lessons! Coming here was the best thing for my training as it's so easy to access top caliber everything. I ended up buying a place about 10 miles away and now do the whole season and don't even show in my home region. Come spend the season! We love it here.

It's so welcoming, even though it's all the top riders (especially this year with Tokyo coming up) everyone says hello or tries to fit you in for a lesson or says a few kind words in the warmup ring. It's definitely a special place. By the end of the season everyone is pretty tired and ready to go home but it's still absolutely worth doing if you can make it happen! (and I'd love to have a lesson if you do!)

I lived in Wellington for 10+ years and again in 2016. From 1995, Wellington has changed drastically and it is amazing how it has evolved. I started showing at WEF and didn't know anything different. It's so easy to become complacent, having the best of everything within 5 miles. And then I moved to the Tri Cities Washington. To do anything in dressage, it's at least a 2 hour drive. Can you say culture shock?

These horses don't even look like the same species as the horses at home. They're tanks! I tried every exercise I can find to build my mare's top line for two years, and it still doesn't look anything even kind of close to these horses.
