Thanks for sharing more of Wellington with us. The food you had today didnt look that amazing, but it was nice to be able to see more of NZ's capital city.

Wellington coffee is just next level! Haha sadly we were too young to catch the Thunderbirds on TV only the occasional re-run which we thought was real interesting!

I was excited when I found out Welly had a Burmese restaurant, as I had craved Burmese food since leaving Christchurch. There was a terrific Burmese restaurant there called The Bodhi Tree, that sadly was destroyed in the earthquakes. Unfortunately, I had a similar experience with Mabel's, it was nice, but not outstanding. I have since found out that the Bodhi Tree has re-opened in Christchurch, and is now known as Rangoon Ruby. I highly, highly recommend a visit there. The food is absolutely outstanding.

@@locavore_eats I suggest the tea salad, the marinaded fish and the shredded green papaya. Outstanding dishes. Burmese philosophy is strongly flavoured dishes that encourage the eating of rice. Mabels' fairly mildly flavoured dishes disappointed me as a result.
