hey hey! we are jumping back into thrift flips, and this may be my best one yet!! I snagged a few colorful pieces that have been hanging in my closet for years, and finally flipped them into the PERFECT two piece sets! I could not be more excited with how these pieces turned out!
thrift flips are my favorite way to update some not so cute thrifted pieces into ready to wear diy sustainable cuties. today I thrifted some gorgeous pieces, and decided to chop them up, sew them together and create some one-of-a-kind works of wearable art! enjoy!

Oh my goodness-bless the person who taught you to sew! 🪡🧵 I wish I were as talented as you! The blue/turquoise robe turned into a dress and jacket is outstanding! I agree with you it is the best! It’s so great to be able to rescue these clothes and make such unique items from them. You would never find anything like this today. I finally found someone who likes, no-LOVES clothes as much as I do.

@@WellLoved You’re so blessed-sewing is a wonderful and useful thing to know. So many times I would like to change or alter items and don’t know how. I will attempt to learn.My mama couldn’t sew but she made a great telephone information operator for many decades.

I am so in love with the 2nd dress you made! It's so much more modern and fun now and I love the shape and the bias tape in that yellow color! The cropped jacket over top is adorable and I love how you had it kind of open just playing around with it. So amazing!

You probably already know this hack, but if your ribbon is synthetic you can slightly melt the ends with a lighter to keep them from fraying! Also...love it over the turtleneck!
