My car does not have that gap between the window frame and the weather channel. Should I just mount the clip on the window channel?

Same. I dont have the rubber weather strip. My vehicle is a 2018 Jeep Compass. The visors fit the windows perfectly but the clips have nothing to clip to without getting in the way of the visor. I just received mine yesterday and tried to put mine on today 7-29-18. Thanks
