@globurim yeah she definitely does collect contracts. So it's hard to distinguish what is her own power, and what's the power of another Devil she's dominated. Though I suppose practically speaking there's no real point in distinguishing.

Btw, just a heads up that (not specifically targeted at you) from Denji’s perspective, Makima is a good person, since she provided him with everything in his life including a Jobb, Food, Siblings, safety and security, etc etc. After Makima found him alone outside as intended in chapter 80, she invited him to her mansion, where she'd make him happier using her 7 huskies, before she then killed Power (the reason behind this was explained in chapter 82, but im going to assume you know why by now). These chapters basically delve deeper into the flaws of the mentality "Ignorance is bliss", which Quanxi, Reze, Denji, and so on used to survive throughout their entire life. Especially Denji during his painful time as a slave to the Yakuza. The themes of control (Control Devil) is apparent here basically. The wish he asked Makima to grant makes all the more sense. Ofcourse, after everything he's been through, he chose to become her 'dog.' This was the only right answer for him, not only because Makima is the kindest person from his POV who gave him literally everything, but also because he doesn't want to think about anything related to his agonizing life and would rather remain blissfuly ignorant (explained more in the chapters you read). But then, this chapter shows that while ignorance can provide MOMENTARY bliss, it will for the most part always put you in situations where you're manipulated, taken advantage of and stripped of your autonomy by others. (Although, understanding this wont mean that you'll automatically learn to oppose being controlled, and being self aware about it. It takes its time basically).

It's no surprise that Makima is considered one of the best antagonists in shounen manga, unlike the cringe-worthy villains with bizarre perspectives, stupid logic, and silly Gary Sue traits. Those who fail to recognize the complexity and depth of her character likely have limited reading comprehension and media literacy skills. I also never liked people who simply see Denji as a simp(ahh so frustrating )instead of a child with a traumatic childhood whose hand was forced to kill his loved one and witness the death of another loved one in front of him by the person who was the first to show him any kind of kindness and also groomed him so she could take Pochita from him.

The painting Makima has on her wall it's called "The Fall of Lucifer" and was made by none else than the legandary Gustave Dore. It's Lucifer falling from the sky and from the grace of God. I can imagine Makima absolutely loving it because stripping someone (Denji) from his paradise and cast him in hell is exactly her behaviour. And it took a reeeally long time for her to put Denji in heaven first and destroy him completely with this final BANG
