i love how harry has been foing his version of wmyb for years but the crowd still always sings the one direction version there was a time where i literally forgot hoe the original version goes cause i only listened to harrys haha

He plays this at every show still to this day. A better contrast is the video that shows the bridge where Harry's hands are visibly shaking, then jump to this performance. Then there's one a few years back, at Wembley I think, where Niall is at the show and Harry does this song, and it's just special. Harry just feels the music, I think that's why you're trying to say. As the band went along, you saw that more and more from Harry, he truly loves what he does and *always* says it's for the fans.

I think Harry wanted to grow. He became a student of performing and grew from a young nervous kid to a brilliant performer.

IT SKIPPED THE BRIDGE SOLO!? WHY?!! i need y’all to watch their ITV documentary from 2012 - this first performance was a huge thing for harry bc he got so much hate after he fucked up the bridge (he was out of breath after all the running that he didn’t have any left to do his solo) that he learnt quickly just how horrible twitter was and in the documentary he cries about it 😢

Hi. I requested this one. This is the official version I found from Red & Black. I also wish the bridge were there! It makes me wonder if they cut it on purpose. I hope I didn’t miss another version of it - if I did, I’m going to be bummed.

An earlier comment said how Red & Black was a gameshow. A bit of random info I read (I requested this one) is that Simon Cowell was one of the producers of the show. I'm guessing that's why they had a musical act each episode; I think all the acts were signed to the record label he had at the time, Syco Music.

I kinda agree with Ryan that they are better off on their own specially Niall and Louis as they both deserve the limelight they are getting now but also I'm a directioner so somewhere down I want they to comeback together as I love them all and would really freak out if they decided to end the "Hiatus"

Their first live performance of this song gives me anxiety and I don't even have this issue. Poor guy was so nervous it haunted him for a few months after that it seems. Thank god this song is now embedded into Harry's disco medley and is nothig else but a total joy fest🤩

Requestor here. 🙂 Some extra info: 1st is from Sept 10, ‘11, day before the staggered release started. Released in England Sept 12, Canada 1/31/12, US 2/12/12. The delayed North Amer. release was a strategic decision by label to do intense social media campaign before officially releasing the song. (Don’t fail me now, wikipedia!!!) 2nd is from Dec 7, 2019, Capital FMs Jingle Bell Ball. It’s an annual concert put on by one of UK’s biggest radio stations. This is from the first of two nights. There are multiple acts each day- Harry was next to last, followed by Stormzy. Liam was first act that day. Harry’s Fine Line was released a week later.

the shade at Liam is appropriate lol but in fairness to Zayn, he has anxiety/panic disorder which totally derailed his solo venture. Also, he was by far the best singer. Not even close.
