Clyde was wearing a "Family Ties" (80s TV Show) because their dad, Marc Lawrence, was a writer/producer for the show. He was also a writer/producer for the Sandra Bullock movie "Miss Congeniality" in which Clyde wrote the theme song at age 5. When Marc Lawrence was working on the 2000 film Miss Congeniality and was not pleased with his options for the Miss United States pageant theme song, he turned to his son Clyde. At only age five, Clyde wrote his own version, and the film's other producers chose to add it to the film without knowing its writer. I absolutely love watching people see them for the first time like this. The band as a whole is great but the acoustic vesrsions of their songs are special. I highly recommend The Weather (Acoustic & Gospel Reprise), Freckles (Acoustic) featuring @Huntertones and @jonbellian, and their newest acoustic song I'm confident that I'm insecure.

You guys need to check out their newest song "I'm Confident that I'm Insecure" (the "acoustic-ish" version).. Gracie has somehow gotten better and i think you guys will really enjoy the intelligence of the lyrics.

First, I love Lawrence. Their video for the acoustic version of “Weather” is worth watching. Similar vibe to this performance. Second, in regards to gospel versions of songs. If you’re not familiar with it already, check out Allen Stone performing Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” live at Bonaroo. It’s a truly incredible performance.
