Welsh Mountain Ponies

Carneddau ponies are a breed of Welsh Mountain Pony from the Carneddau mountains in north Wales. They are a distinct and wild breed that have I believe been brought to this reserve to help with nature conservation efforts. I did read somewhere that the breed has been around since the Bronze Age! They have been at the reserve for a while now but I have not had an opportunity before to get up close to them. So, when I saw them from the top end of the reserve I rushed down to the valley, as fast as I could on a rather hot day. I'm not knowledgeable about horses but they are fine looking animals and surely a great addition to any wildlife setting.

@garewalks that's understatement my friend had white pure bred Welsh mountain pony and one day asked if I could go for a ride on it the nest thing you know as soon as I mounted up on him he went woolsh and bolted 100 miles a hour till we landed on the highway by that time I somehow ended up on the neck as soon as we were at the corner I came tumbling down head first in front of a car 🚗 the people fought they had killed me but for some miracle unscathed live to to tell another tail I had more falls of 🐎 horses than you had baked dinners 🍽 and every time I fall off I seemed to get winded so it's no laughing matter I can assure you guaranteed!✈️
