Wow Mark, it looks fantastic. As a UK resident myself it's great to see what aquatic life lives on and around our shores. And with so many KZbin channels being USA heavy, you hardly ever see videos like this. Excellent stuff.

One of my first marine aquariums was a cold water tank I filled with all sorts of creatures from the tide pools of the california coast. I was 7 when I started the tank. The crown jewel of the tank was an octopus I caught at the beach. It was a really fantastic tank. Some of my fondest childhood memories are going to explore the rock pools on Saturday mornings at low tide with my dad.

Love this tank bruv. Funny how much colour there actually is. When we're down the coast, every seems brownish and washed out, but in the tank it all pops. Nice to see all the life acting naturally rather than closed up and looking dead when the tides out. Nice work. 👍

Wowzer Mark, I can’t help but always write a message before I even watch your video. Just the look of that tank set up is totally awesome. I so so wanna just “try” create a lil tank even if just for fun. I know I must have respect for all the lil creatures of the sea and would never gather things that I’d have no idea on how to keep but it’d be so cool to maybe collect a lil crab or mollusc things amongst the rock pools and even keep for a few weeks then return. Anyhoo..as usually in start watching the video now and see what exciting things you have to show us...ME 😂💙😀🐟🦀🦑🐙

FANTASTIC job, Mark! Very nice tank. I've never seen anemones and such feeding, so this was fascinating for me, and I LOVE the shrimp! Do you know what type they are? Mark do you think a set up like this would be possible to do outdoors without a chiller? As they are native species the logic would be that they would be okay in outdoor temps. Or do you think a chiller would still be needed due to the sun heating up the tank in the summer? I have always liked the idea of an outdoor tank.
@simondm963 жыл бұрын
I think you'll need a chiller to cool it during summer. The sea is a large heatsink so it stays pretty cool even during high outside temperatures. Conversely make sure the tank doesn't freeze in the winter
@MARKSAQUATICS3 жыл бұрын
I would definitely put a chiller on the system to control the temperature.
