Well technically NPG and Robot aren’t evil..NPG’s just obsessed with rustic houses and is eccentric so Grian stashed him in a closet cause he was too much, Robot was built for a build battle and just doesn’t really like Grian (at least to my knowledge)

(I say cartoony because I don't actually know what irl people used to do) and he showed a page that looks like it could come out of Gravity Falls and if I remember correctly NPC has threatened Grian before, or maybe it was robot who threatened Grian? I know robot said something about trying to overtake the channel?? Cause i think too much: Hels said that he’s Wels from another realm where the deepest darkest desires and inner demons of humanity lives and he himself is the evil in Wels given form. This is highlighted by his verses “Maybe I’m cynical but this place makes me miserable”- this represents the part of Wels that was truly tired of hermitcraft, like Wels had told us he got a burn out and couldn’t enjoy the game, he felt miserable playing yet continue out of a sense of duty so from a view point “this place” or hermitcraft really made him miserable In his response Wels then said “This is my home and a place that i love dearly”, firmly stating that yes he had a rough patch but in the end he truly love Hermitcraft and wouldn’t trade it for the world In a way the conflict between Hels and Wels also represents the conflict within Wels as he went through a rough time. He almost completely left everything behind forever represented by Hels saying he’d raze hermitcraft to the ground but in the end he got back on his feet, rising from his lowest point represented by the hole to defeat Hels representing his own demons and return to defend hermitcraft represented by Wels winning the conflict “I’ll defeat my inner demons for this is my crusade” but Hels continues to exist as the part of Wels that’s somewhat unhappy won’t ever go away completely but for now all that’s wels end wels (also Hels is from the fiery depth pit of Nether and also "burn" out but that's a stretch even by my standard)

OMFG! The way the beat just drops as Wels brings that vicious final verse is just perfect. Got this playing for a second time cranked to the max on my headphones, trying to learn the lyrics.
