@@hadmos855 the tldr of it is Welt was Himeko's teacher in her early days with her having a slight crush on him, fast forward a few years an event occured that caused Welt to be transported to the sea of Quanta (consider it a different dimension). Himeko went on her way to become a Valkyrie, got a few friends, they all died in the 2nd Eruption. She became an alcoholic and a teacher, after the 3rd eruption (aka Herrscher of Void immerging) Himeko sacrificed herself to save her. Fast forward a bit later Welt is evacuated from the Sea of Quanta and learns of Himeko's death, he is absolutely heart broken. In the events that lead to HSR, Welt and Void Archives (Otto look alike) find out this alien species called Sky people want something with this bubble universe and have gained an interest in Himeko. Welt then gained a new goal, which is to prevent her from facing the same fate. If I forget anything or got anything wrong feel free to correct me😅

Welt gameplay with Himeko's Final Lesson song is hitting hard like nothing I ever dreamt of; especially when we know the back story of them two. For anyone who don't know, Welt is Young Himeko's teacher in HI3 universe. Official manga has shown Himeko to has interest for Welt (either romantics or just because they're both are space geek). Ironically, Welt went missing for years due to some circumstances. Only to find out later that Himeko has died as a teacher, protecting her students. Welt then travels to Star Rail universe and met the other version of Himeko, whose not a teacher but a space traveler like the original ever wanted to be. He might secretly watching and protecting the current Himeko to not ends up the same. I believe Welt play a VERY VERY important role for HSR future, especially with Luocha (Otto) still around.

@@talesgesteira6230 kinda, the Welt you played on HSR is the same Welt from Honkai Impact 3rd. The concept like MARVEL' multiverse. Seele, Himeko, Bronya, Natasha, Sushang, Luocha are like the counterpart of HI3 universe's. Not the actual same person. It's canon, because from Honkai Impact 3rd official manga released by Mihoyo, Welt do 'travel' to HSR universe, supported by his backstory. *If you recall, when you do Luocha companion quest, there's a scene where Welt get suspicious and have a flashback. Those flashback image are from Honkai Impact 3rd when he interact with Otto (Luocha version of HI3).* To some extent, Genshin also have HI3 character like Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, Kazuha; it's just because no character really connected between HI3 and Genshin, so it's all just speculation.

@@Motiv8Malik Otto is the main antagonist of Honkai Impact 3rd. His appearance is very similar like Luocha, and they both so mysterious. For context, the Welt you play on HSR is the same Welt from HI3. He is traveling through universe and ends up here on Astral Express. *If you recall, when you do Luocha companion quest, there's a scene where Welt get suspicious to Luocha and have a flashback. Those flashback image are from Honkai Impact 3rd when he interact with Otto (Luocha version of HI3).* Not exactly means that Luocha is Otto, because Otto died in Honkai Impact 3rd; but Luocha can potentially as devilish and suspicious like his other version on different universe.

Surely in the future, Hoyo will release a 5* DLC divine key weapon (light cone) called "Star of Eden: legacy of Reason" that is tailored for Welt: At SI1: Increase the damage against imaginary-weak targets by 40%. Increase the user break effect by 25% and effect hit rate by 15% When using a skill, grant a stack of "reason" that increase skill, ult and talent damage by 50%. Max 2 stack, lasting for 2 turns, refreshable. When equiped by Welt: using his ult will imprison the timer, stopping it for 3 ally turns. Additionally, enemy will by imprisoned for 2 turns. The slowing effect of imprisonment is increased by 35%. This is why I love endgame content like Swarm Disaster. When MoC/Abyss only value DPS and buffer, this mode values other character's aspectlike shield, heal, and crowd control. Someone like Dehya will enjoy herself if shes in Honkai Starrail timeline.

Swarm disaster isn’t even endgame content. This new SU is literally just one and done for the rewards. After that, you just forget about it. MoC and abyss actually requires you to build your characters, whereas in SU you need the right buffs to carry you or else your run is scuffed asf.

@@bewitted1169 can't be more wrong. If you want to pass Swarm 5. You at least need well built DPS and decent support even tho. Swarm requires welt built team plus right choice of blessing. I pass thank to March7 synergy with 90EHR combined with lower effect res bless and increase ehr. A full DpS so that someone actually do DPS and a healer. This team is even more investment than my 30 stars MoC team

As someone who joined in July, and got Welt as my 5* Departure Warp character, I was *almost* tempted to reroll. But I decided to stick with him. And man, just recently, rolled Himeko from the standard banner. Which, especially given this OST feels like it was some kind of destiny. So yeah. I'm never, EVER going to take welt down. I won't draw Inbibitor Lunae. I don't care about Meta. Welt is amazing.

Welt is by far my favorite standard 5* and maybe character in that game, i didn't play honkai impact and thus i don't know the whole story behind him (tho i would want to). I like his design, his playstyle and the possibilities that comes with it. I'm a f2p that pretty much don't like the actual meta of "beeg damage jingliu/IL or nothing else" makes the game feel pretty blend and not exciting. While i get very excited at my welt controlling the ennemy team for ages while sushang or arlan deals damage along with him. I just can't wait to have another character able to push back target even if it's single target, or even if it's a LC so i could trade my sustain for it and just control :D. Ps: i would be interested if someone has a video or a book that follow the whole story around honkai impact :D
