I'm 100% the same with birthdays. I haven't celebrated my birthday since I was 18 (35 now) and it wasn't ABOUT me, we just happened to plan a long weekend trip up to Montreal because the drinking age was 18. We went to the strip club at like 11:40pm the day before I turned 18, and the bouncer let me in once I explained to him that I was turning 18 in 20 mins. Turned 18 in the middle of a full-contact lap dance while "Change - by Deftones" was playing. That song still holds a special place in my heart to this day.
