Excellent video, well done. Quick and 'to-the-point'; no 'pomp and circumstance'... thanks. I've been using WEN products for years. From my experiences, I can honestly say that for light duty, DIY projects, they have held up nicely with normal care and maintenance. These tools are not intended for commercial or heavy usage. If you abuse a tool, it will reciprocate.

Kent, thank for the comment and I think you’re spot on in your assessment. I’ve had several wen products. Better tools out there? Sure, but they still turn on and off and do their job.

They sell the exact same sander at Menards and Harbor freight, Lowes, and Home depot and many others under different colors and names. Cheapest one at menards performax for $89. Many WEN products made by same manufacturer as many other brands. I have a Wen 6502T and motor going bad. only 1 1/2 years old.

Same base frame but different quality of components and QC. That's why some warrant as few as 90 days or up to 4 years.

Mine lasted 2 years and the bearing were shot. I replaced it with my 20 year old Skil.

Does it have any section where there's no backing to the belt (slack belt)?

I think I understand your question. There is solid metal plate from roller to roller the length of the belt. So no “slack” when you press against it. This isn’t a super powerful machine so if you press hard enough against the backing it will stall it out. Hope that answers your question.

Absolutely! Thanks. Thats what I was wondering, if it was made in such a way, there’s a backing plate on one side and a way to push the belt in on the other. Thanks.

Okay does the plate tilt at an angle?

Yes, the plate next to the disc sander will tilt down.

Looks good 👍 should last at least something artificially 5 yrs warrenty card and future.utilityfunctions happyness good 👍😊😊 suddenly it works suddenly it starts. Good one though used some elaborate time backup... looks like at least at last the time of the right size for my Diy projects craftsman style work Shop..

Does your belt shift

So far there hasn’t been any shift or “drifting” to either side. I’m a couple years in with this machine and have gone through multiple different grits of paper and it’s still performing well.
