Just a random advice.. Sweet almond mint is the univrrsal formula. If its your first time trying Wen out use this fragrance. Other fragrances are made for specific hair conditions. Fig is for natural hair Lavander is for fine and limp hair Pomegranate is for color treated, damaged hair. It has more concentrated 'products'. Maybe thats one of the reasons why your hair has dried out. Enjoy Wen! Wen Beauty Advocate here from G|R :)

The reason they say use so much is so you run out quicker and have to buy more!!!! And most things you buy off commercials like proactive and wen do tell you to use a lot of product but in my opinion I think you should use what you think is best for you 😊

i really think the hair loss is different from person to person. i’ve head so many bad things about wen but i’ve uses it for years and absolutely love it. i’ve never experienced any kind of hair loss and i find that it does make my hair very shiny. i’ve also seen how people say it doesn’t clean their hair but i haven’t noticed that. if you’re really worried about the hair loss then i wouldn’t recommend trying it but i absolutely love it.

I've been trying wen for almost 2 months now, I have short baby fine hair. It's been going well for me, just like you said you don't need to use 40 pumps of the product. I only use 7 pumps of the product and I'm good to go, I was hesitant to order it. But in the end I'm glad I bought it, I have very sensitive skin and was sick of buying products that caused my skin to irritate.

Also if anybody's hair is feeling greasy it's either because your not using enough pumps or your not RINSING enough. If u think you rinsed enough rinse more

I received a WEN sample and discovered it works WONDERS as a leave in conditioner. I used a regular shampoo and conditioner, and then took a VERY small pump of WEN and put it in my hair when it is still wet (right after I shut the water off in the shower) and it really, really did amazing things for my hair. not to mention, The tiny amount you need for a leave in conditioner (about a nickel-quarter size for long hair) the Product lasts forever!

How funny! I watched Wen on QVC for such a long time, too! My friend hates the pomegranate and gave me the rest of it to try for myself. I haven't had the courage to use the pomegranate yet, so I'm watching reviews on it first haha! Thank you so much for your honesty in your review of these products. Very helpful! Much Love, -Stephanie Eva

When Chaz says use 30 pumps, you are suppose to split that in half. You are suppose to do two cleansings. Wash, rinse, repeat. So 15 for the first wash and 15 for the 2nd wash. I use the fig, I'm 49, Greek American female, with long shoulder length hair. Buy it on QVC, a 32oz bottle is $50.

I really loved you video, very informative. I'm happy to see someone use As I Am coconut cowash without curly hair like myself. Its gives me a different point of view. The As I Am cowash is my favorite cleansing conditioner and I've used it for about 3 years. It will definitely continue to be part of my hair regimen as well as both my daughters. Thank you for your honest opinion.

Thank you so much for this review. I am SOOO glad that there are alternatives, and CHEAPER alternatives, to the WEN system. My god it is expensive but my god it smells so good and does great things for my hair. I will be trying out the AsIAm Coconut Cowash asap. I recently bought the full gallon of Wen and I am a long way away from it running out but I cant spend this much again.

I have really enjoyed watching your video and the results that you got. I have been using WEN for over 12 months now, it took me a couple of tries to get the amount right for my hair. I have short and fine hair (my picture shows me when I had extensions in, terrible mistake haha), and I use one pump, massage into hair and rinse out, then I use a second pump and massage into my hair, leave this on until I finish my bath and then rinse out. I absolutely love the results, and my hair is still beautiful when I get up in the morning. I did try Ojon co-wash, but it didn't give me anywhere near the results that I got with WEN. Like yourself, every once in a while I use a different shampoo and conditioner, but only the once then it's back to the WEN. I also have colours in my hair and I find that WEN is the only one that doesn't fade the lowlights I have, whereas the normal shampoo tends to 'wash out' the colour really quickly. I hope this is helpful. Lots of love from Patricia xx

Thanks for your video. I having been wondering if the "knockoffs" works as well. I just got Wen for Christmas and just used it tonight for the first time. One thing I noticed right away was the fact that my ends were dry before I got dressed. I'm a little concerned now about the drying effect this product may have on my hair. My hair dried naturally a lot faster with Wen then with my Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser hair system, which includes shampoo, conditioner, split-end bandage and marvelous oil 5-action hair elixir. My hair was so dry tonight that I used the oil on my hair just to control the frizz. All in all not extremely thrilled with Wen but it's because I don't like the natural texture of my hair. I have been blow drying my hair with It's a 10 miracle leave-in plus keratin and it makes my hair feel like I've have a salon keratin hair treatment. I'm hoping wen will help my hair become healthier and more like my keratin blow outs I've been doing to my hair. I think I might continue to use my 10 product when blow drying it and hopefully using both of these products my hair's health with improve. Thanks again for the video if Wen helps I will try the cheaper versions out.

If I could give you ten thumbs up, I would! You have answered all of my questions. Also, I have read over and over about the folks who had SO much trouble with their Cust. Serv. Reps. and how using the old credit card was such a pain in the a$$. From all of this useful info, I now know that this product is not for me... We all want to look like celebrities, but we do not all have the budget that they have! Chas Dean only reaches a certain market, and he needs to understand that we do not have the $ too look like rock stars! And, he should come out with a less exp. version for us regular, average folks who are trying desperately to live within the means of our meager budgets. Right? Thanks a million, you are a real doll for doing this! I wish you well.

So glad I found this. I have super short hair that's thin and oily. I was using around 7-10 pumps of Wen and while I adore the way my hair feels the day of, the second day my hair looks so flat and unmanageable! While I love Wen and the way it makes my hair feel, I'm still on the border about buying it again. That's a lot of money for me. However, my sister in law has those gorgeous ringlets and it's so thick, and it did wonders for her hair. So... I guess it just depends on the user maybe?

I've been a Wen girl for a little over a year now, and I'm still obsessed. I do have to admit the only way I can afford it is due to QVC easy pays. I love fig, and the bamboo green tea! I tried the Hair one cleansing conditioner before Wen and HATED it! It made my hair waxy even after I washed it all out and knotty!!! I keep seeing all rave reviews about that cowash! I'm so curious!! My birthday month is next month, maybe I'll grab it from sally's with my birthday coupon!

I am a Wen girl. I started with the sweet almond mint travel size and broke down and bought a bottle of the spring gardenia green tea scent (love the scent!) I use maybe 4-5 pumps in my thick damaged hair and really love the results. But as you said it is so costly. I am going to look for the "As I am" brand, do you know if they have more scents?

Hi Danielle, thanks for this great video, I just finished my bottle of lavender wen cleanser and really loved it but not the price so am now trying the Hair One because my local Sally's was out of the As I Am Cowash, the Hair One is okay, felt like it went on my hair easily but did leave a more waxy heavy feeling compared to Wen. So I don't think I will buy again but okay as a back up. I am looking forward to better results from the As I Am option, but also wanted to ask you if you tried the Wen styling products especially the serum oil and if so did you have some recommendations for cheaper comparable products? Thanks again for your time, take care!

You're pretty smart about this product (Wen). Since it is a conditioner, it is absolutely necessary to use a clarifying shampoo at least twice a month. Otherwise, you will have a lot of buildup which will interfere with your hair getting the necessary nutrients it needs, hence the hair falls out because it has been weakened. Just my point of view.

It has menthol listed in the ingredients, but I can't detect it in the scent. I actually like it, but I think it's a love it/hate it kind of scent. It has apple fruit, nutmeg, sugar maple, and vanilla bean extracts among other things, mmm.

I started using Wen about 3 months ago , and let me tell you that I Am HOOKED !!!! I love this stuff !!! Summmer Honey and Peach is Fabu.... I have tried the off brands and no way were they close to the results I got using WEN, it has transformed my hair, and I only wash twice a week , the rest of the time i just rinse my hair and scrub my scalp good and then use a lil as a leave in , you must use WEN with cold water this makes it work so much better !!!!! I love my hair now , WEN is Fabulous !!!!!

Also if your hair feels greasy or has build-up it could be product residue. Wen does not have the harsh sulfates to remove product build-up.

Hello, I loved this video as about a week ago I was looking for a cheaper cleansing conditioner than Wen and I came across this video. I went out last Sunday and I purchase the As I Am Coconut Co wash. I was so impressed with how my hair felt after the first wash. Then the second day I noticed how good my hair looked and felt. I love it and I can tell you I did purchase the Pantene Pro V Truly Natural Co Wash as well and I plan on trying that this weekend just to see the difference. I also purchased the Pantene Pro V Truly Natural Clarifying Shampoo and Deep Conditioner so if I do feel that my hair needs to be extra clean I can use them. But so far I am highly impressed with the As I Am. I purchased a second container for my daughter to try this weekend as well. Thanks again for sharing. It really helped me make up my mind. By the way I have naturally wavy hair that does tend to get frizzy when it gets too dry. So far it looks so much better with the As I Am.. I can see a lot more volume and my hair now has a bounce to it that it didn't have before.

I've been using Wen for years now, and I love it. But I have extremely fine hair, so I usually dilute it or it weighs down my hair. I use about a dime sized amount for leave in, this from my already diluted bottle (half water, half Wen). I was using volumizing mouse, but my hair ended up getting really fried due to that. Replacing that with Wen made a big difference. It's a great product but also a bit pricey.

I got a the Sweet Mint and Fig Wen in my New Beauty Test Tubes and liked them. I recently bought the Wen TSV on QVC which included a 32 oz in your choice of scent, 16 oz new fall Apple Spice scent, and treatment oils for both scents. Before that I was using Suave Rosemary and Mint Conditioner as a cleansing conditioner and it worked fairly well. I might give As I Am a try after I use up the Wen I just bought. I have long hair (to my shoulder blades) and use 10-15 pumps.

"Just use Wen one time and you'll see an amazing difference" Yeah I'm one of the unfortunate ones I guess. I just bought this 2 days and my first time using it this morning. I had a lot of fall out. I thought it was normal until I stepped out to the bathroom. I combed through my hair and my coworker pointed out that my hair was falling out. So that's when I started reading reviews. I just used it once and I am now convinced that it caused my hair to fall out. But it does smell great and the comb works awesome on my hair.

I really liked your review, however; if say a person has hair as long as yours but 4 times thicker than yes I think a person might need to use a lot. I use the fig, 6 13, and the bamboo green tea. My hair isn't as long as your but I have to use 40 pumps twice, basically 80 total. My children have hair as long as yours and use more than me because their hair is so think and curly. I did try the others you suggested but they don't do anything for the hair in my fanily. It just goes to show how different hair is and how people have to use the amount that works best for their hair type.

I Love the products, I had dry, damaged, color treated hair that always looked frizzy, or straw like. I used Wen cleansing conditioner the almond mint scent and from the first Use i felt a difference. My hair felt very soft to the touch immediately. Feeling amazing I couldn't wait for it to look amazing. That was 10 months ago. Today i still use the cleansing conditioner and the sixthirteen. I quess i was getting disappointed after a while because I thought I would have seen a major transformation in my hair after all this time and MONEY!! My hair is in much better shape and condition than before Wen, however, I had to try a color treated shampoo and conditioner for a week and went back to Wen. My hair looks and feels 100% better then it has looked or felt in YEARS!!!! Great product and I must say it has changed my hair. Nothing is a miracle and it takes time to fix damaged hair. It did not get damaged over night, therefor the problem cannot be solved overnight.

I agree 100% about the wen , good but pricey , i have short (just below my ears ) hair because it fell out after a bad color job at a salon , so i needed something really gentle . my hair is fine in texture and as i am slowing going gray , some is coming in gray coarse and curly while the rest is fine a thin with a slight wave .... i used a copy cat version Ren from the drugstore , in mint and pomegranate, they were heavy and thick took alot to get it thru even my short hair and left it greasy . tried the coconut co wash from As I Am and it works well rinses well and leaves my hair soft and clean , my hubby is black and it works great on his hair as well. i really like the Loreal version of cleansing conditioner , it smells great cleans really well even when my hair is greasy oily and spreads nicely with a bit of water . i still use traditional shampoo when my hair needs a good cleaning as if i have no plans to leave the house i will skip the wash because my hair is fragile since the color accident that bleached it orange and made it fall out (i lost 50-60% of my volume but it is growing back )

Hi Laura, it's cheaper to buy Wen on QVC. The trick is to have them send you email alerts so you'll no when Chaz is going to be there for a presentation, that's when you can stock up. QVC carries the 32 oz bottles. I would suggest that you have QVC set up your email alerts for 1-2 days in advance of his shows so you can get a crack at it first. These products sell out fast because it's cheaper and it's on flex pay too. hope this helps you. FYI. this is a great product to use when you color your hair, it will hold the color a lot longer.. Pomegranate is nut free and soy based. The kids shampoos are nut free, soy free and they are rice based. Hopefully this will help you since you have allergies.

Laura Moser If you ever get the chance please do try WEN. Renpure (I've used it too) isn't exactly the same. Lisa Rachel is closer to WEN. HairOne is ok too. Just don't give up on the cleansing conditioners because they are truly awesome products. Herbal Essence and LOreal carries them too. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. My have a question for everyone. Someone gave me some Wen. The first time I didn't use as much. My ends actually came out really dry. So a few days later(I don't wash my hair everyday) I used the conditioning mask on the bottom half turned out perfect. Yesterday I used it again but used more product and spend more time on my scalp because it had been itchy. I'm a little confused though. She gave me two bottles one is translucent and the other is white and creamy. They both have the exact same smell and both bottles say conditioning cleaner. I used mostly the clear one but I mixed them. Can anyone explain this to me? What is the clear one? All the videos I've seen on here It's creamy.

My mom is forcing me to use As I Am because my hair is too frizzy but she said I can't wash my hair with shampoo anymore. I'm a makeup artist and I've been using Lush Cosmetics since they're cruelty free and I like their shampoo bars because I'm trying to grow out my nails and liquid shampoos combined with water tend to soften my nails causing to break and I have to let them grow out again.

cleansing conditioners can be used by all hair types, but since I don't have your particular hair type I can't guarantee you will love it. but its definitely more affordable than wen so its worth a try =)

-really...but just be careful with stuff like that, they could just dump the real product in a container, and fill it up with like a $2.00 conditioner or something. Idk, but I was happy with the bubble necklace and some really cute Marilyn monroe phone cases I got on amazon. I would be cautious of certain beauty products though. Anyway, thanks 4 this vid...I'm excited to try the 1 in the tub from sallys. + I love coconut/tropical scents!

haha yea, 32+ pumps? I don't think so. My hair is long and thick and I use no more than 10-12 pumps and its plenty! they even say you can rinse and repeat, no thank you.

I tried the hair one and I didn't like the process. my hair did feel fabulous but I also got that from the Generic line they have at Sally's. the shampoos and conditioners is a better process for me. but like I said the hair one did wonders. just didn't like the process and I got the same results from the Generic line of shampoos and conditioners.

Does Wen really work? How do I use it use it after I shampoo them use wen as conditioner or just use wen when I wash?
@EH_888
@EH_888 7 жыл бұрын
Taylor Couret Not really. I wouldn't spend the money if I were you. I'm African American with thick wavy/curly hair. Wen is formulated with silicones which is a curly hair no-no. Silicones build up on your hair shaft and can only be removed with sulfates. It's an ok product, but I don't believe that it was really worth the investment.

Be careful with buying stuff like that on amazon. I'm very new to amazon...actually shopping online at all really...I know, I'm living under a rock, lol. But I recently made 3 purchases on amazon, my husband started buying phone cases 4 super cheap, so I decided to give it a try. Anyway, I bought some argon oil as well as tsubaki oil because they're super expensive at ulta. It came and both oils are green in color and smell just like evoo. Im not sure if im able to return or not or how it works-
