🌸Cool lore tidbit: the flowers that keep getting panned to in the latest episode are known as lambkill or sheep's laurel. They look very pretty and appealing, so sheep often eat them. These flowers, however, are highly poisonous and kill those who aren't careful or don't know any better, causing any sheep that eats them to die. The more you know!

Idk if it came up in the original VOD or not, but the White Stag is also another myth in NJ (similar to the Jersey Devil). Apparently, a man was driving a stagecoach through the pine barrens when he was roadblocked by a white stag. When he got off the carriage and walked further down the road, he discovered that the bridge he was meant to go over had been destroyed (I think by a storm?), and that he, his horses, and cargo would have fallen into it had the stag not stopped them. The White Stag is seen as a good omen that prevents disasters from happening, much in the same way that the park rangers prevent hikers from going down false trails. In that sense, White Stag Education is a very fitting name for what they do (but also I love the biblical interpretation, and wouldn't be surprised if that was also intended).

There’s a story that goes along with the white stag in the pine barrens. It’s about this guy who was like riding in a wagon or walking on a trail during a horrible thunderstorm and right when he was about to go on a bridge to cross a river, a white stag jumped in-front of him making him stop and just a few seconds later, the bridge he could’ve been on, got swept away in the storm and ever since then few people have reported seeing a white stag in the area trying to like warn them of danger or to be cautious of what’s ahead so just like White Stag Education, the white stag warns people of the dangers of the pine barrens and is the opposite of the jersey devil.

For my 6th grade year, my school went to this campsite in the New Jersey Pine Barrens as like a field trip, one of the counselors told us the stories of the Jersey Devil and obviously we would be terrified. But once they sent all of us back to our cabins, it would always be pitch dark outside, no lights, you can’t see anything four feet away from you, in order to travel in the darkness you had to hold hand with your peers. All of us were always terrified every night we had to go back to our cabins. Unfortunately, the last night we went back to our cabin, we lost on of my cabin peers, we heard a scream and the counselors looked everywere for him. they did find him, but his leg was bitten into and bleeding a lot. but from what i heard after they took him away was that he said he swore he heard someone whisper into his ear and then he fell to the floor. he trully believed that night the jersey devil had got to him.

43:11 the line "we can't rest until our stories are told" makes way more sense when we see the four kids in the end credits of the show. I bet the plot events that happen to the puppets is based on what happened to the kids (fishing, getting lost and encountering the strangers, etc.) Maybe the Gleeson and Oswald encounter was based on what they *should've* done, hence the emphasis by ranger Luke on doing a good job with the strangers.

As a healthcare professional, the medication talk made me take psychic damage. 50mg might be a lot, it might be a little, it all depends on medication. For example quetiapine, a medication i take for bipolar in 50mg, is not much, has a max dose of 800mg per day. Metformin starts at 50mg, max of 2000mg. Levothyroxine (thyroid med) it's dosed at 2-3mcg (micrograms) per kg of body weight. Milligrams do not translate laterally between medications as a reference to its effect. 50mg or 200mg can be a little, can be a lot, it's all up to exactly what medication its in reference to. I love you wendi, i just needed to get that out for someone who might get confused
@shiran328 ай бұрын
I agree, 50 mg is not too worrying if we don't know what drug are we talking about lol, paracetamol/acetaminophen's usual dose is 500 mg and max dose is around 4g/day lol
@b.collins26568 ай бұрын
body mass, age, overall health, and inherent responsiveness to the drug are factors too. fifty milligrams of prozac would make me borderline stoned, but for some people it's the perfect dose to keep them functional, and for others still it wouldn't make any difference whatsoever because prozac just doesn't work for them.
