They don’t use old meat, they just use pieces that get messed up in the grilling process like ones that break in half etc. I was a teenage Wendy worker back in my day Wendy’s was always goated secret menu item vanilla frosty with the strawberry puree they use for the strawberry lemonade is crack taste like cheese cake ! Wendy’s is easily the best tasting and most cooked-to-order of the big 3. Because of being almost fully cooked to order though, it also has by far the longest wait times out of most places you can go. Idk when the last time was I went to Wendy’s and didn’t have to pull up to the door to wait for them to walk it out to me. Not a problem tho and usually worth it when it’s the only drive-thru burger joint that doesn’t hurt my stomach after eating it.

Remember in the early 2000s also, King, where Wendy's did this batshit crazy promo for their nuggets? I believe it was 5 piece nuggets for 50 cents!!! I worked at a Wendy's when i was in high school. One of my favorite things from there was the bacon cheese baked potato. Especially if the store has the liquid cheese. Another thing that i liked. It was a promotional burger. I think it was called like the "smokehouse bacon cheeseburger." It was basically a double cheeseburger with bacon, a special sauce, and smoke cheddar cheese. A lot of my coworkers love the sauce. They would dip fries and nuggets in it. I did not like it like that. But in the burger itself. I really liked it. Like all the ingredients put together made it work. It sucked when they discontinued it, as that was my usual go to for my lunch break for like a month straight. Not sure if they ever brought it back.

I laughed when McDonalds and all the other places started adding $5 meal deals...like, took years for you to figure out what Wendy's has been doing forever. Even if you DON'T do the biggie back deals, Wendy's has so many damn coupons in their app that there is no way you will ever need to pay more than $10 going there. You can even double stack coupons. Place a mobile order with one coupon, then when you go to pick up in the restaurant, get your other items at the register and use a different coupon. Right now they have free nugs with purchase, so for example buy a Frosty and get your free nuggs, then go in the restaurant and say, use the $1 Any Size Drink w/Purchase coupon and get fries or a burger or whatever the hell you want. You just got free nuggs and a drink. Employees don't care. And that's not even counting rewards which add up quickly and you can use them to get more freebies.

Never heard anyone badmouth Wendy's, it's usually Arby's that gets the flack. Their chicken isn't the same but the chicken sandwiches used to be really good- the spicy one is still ok. Their daves burger is fine, and the baconator is good- probably my favorite now (used to be the spicy chicken sandwich) but the baconator upsets my stomach if I eat a full one in one go- gotta eat like half now and half later personally. I mostly go to Wendy's to get a large chili and baked potato or nuggets and fries. The frosty is goated when actually cold, I like to take it home and put it in the freezer cause it doesn't get rock solid- it stays eatable by spoon but it's not melty.

I like Wendy's because they don't cut corners on their burgers. I love their baconator - I love bacon on everything. More bacon the better for me. I usually don't buy bacon for the house because, if I do, I'm going to have it every single day. I do get the lower sodium kind, if I do buy them, but it's few and far between. But the baconator and the bacon king from Burger King are my kryptonite, man. I don't eat fast food very often, maybe once every two or three weeks. But those are usually what I order, with onion rings, a coke zero and jalapeno poppers if they have them.
