Wendy needed to show a little more respect. Also Aretha is no joke, she sings opera, languages. Wendy shoulda done her homework, beyond the gossip. Aretha is a disciplined entertainer, song writer and musician.

Money doesn't make you happy in the ways that really matter. True, the Franklins did have money later on. Along with success comes many problems. But money did not take away the pain from the loss of her mother leaving the family home. Aretha has faced many difficulties. She kept her feet on the ground and was an incredible artist and woman. You didn't get to see her in this mode often because Queenie could be very guarded but she was almost ALWAYS like this if you saw her in Detroit. She is so Detroit in this clip that I watch it just to laugh. LOVED her. Still do. She was not just the Queen of Soul, she was the Queen of Detroit and we will always love her.
