I think it was highly unlikely that a 34 year old woman died of a heart attack and the fact that CL didn't even have the decency to attend the mother of his children's funeral suggests that he had something to do with it.

Typically, “wild and promiscuous” children are those that have been sexualized at an early age. Due to the confusion of that trauma, the grooming and the desire for acceptance and love, they act out in ways we label fast, wild, promiscuous. It’s not typical for a child who has been protected to “behave” in a promiscuous nature. Just like any other behaviors a child picks up, they are typically observed/experienced and then acted out.

You have to be so aware of any man around your child. I say that bc my first "grown up kiss was with my stepfather while I was watching Tom and Jerry cartoons he came in the room put his hand down my pyjamas top and kissed me. My mother was only 10 ft away from me in the kitchen. I could never bring myself to tell her what he was doing but I'll forever be hypervigilant when it comes to men being around children.

He had all those high/drunk grown ass folks at his house(a party)and here is an 11 year old in an adjacent room with absolutely ZERO protection who was simply expected to simply shut her eyes and go to sleep. I was very sad about that one time, and I have a very huge family, but never felt like I belonged, they hated me. One day I was crying at work, which was in our church, and a member came in and ask me what was wrong. I said, I’m just sad, my family hates me no matter what I try to do for them. This was something that was said long ago and it was strange that him being a preacher he didn’t even bring law enforcement into it considering Aretha was a kid herself. Thank you so much, they never hold men accountable for the RAPING OF A CHILD. She was 12yrs old and had probably just started her period last year. I have wanted to do commentary on this issue for months! My godmother said the same thing when the movie "RESPECT" hit theaters. And she's not one to gossip. Aretha will always be remembered for her iconic voice and will definitely be respected as such. However, having a baby at 13 years old and never revealing the father is definitely SUSPICIOUS by itself! Her father should have never been accepting of his 13 year old having a kid. Just because her father was a preacher, DOES NOT MEAN, he was holy or anointed. Anybody can quote a scripture and give a great speech... including the devil himself!

Her mother likely died of a broken heart since she was not strong enough to take her girls with her. Ladies', fight for your babies with everything you've got especially if you have little girls. If it's joint custody it's one thing but always make sure you have access to your children. So sad.

Her failed romances and turmoiled life was front story news in the "JET" Magazine, and other 'black/negro' journals. It was reported that her arm was broken by her significant other during a domestic disagreement (I was probably ten or eleven years old at the time and I remember that news account). No, we didn't have the internet or 'social media' back then, but we did have 'word of mouth', and people who knew the Franklin Family did talk. For years I grew up hearing that the "Reverend" Franklin had impregnated his daughter Aretha. The only time I heard of any stability in Aretha's life was when she was married to Glynn Turman. Aretha Franklin's father push his daughter to become a singer and find her voice and create her own songs and even she sang at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. funeral in 1968 and she also paid Angela Davis bail in 1970 and she made the best songs that everybody love and she was for the voice when women back in the day that didn't think they be heard and her music got me though some tough times in my life so thank you so thank Aretha ❤️

Made a woman, the money maker and mother at twelve... Surrounded by all these adults entertainers then nicknamed fast, while all of them over exposed the child to their lifestyle, that none would wish on their own children or family. Call it grooming or trafficking, people still getting away with such til this day. Through all that she managed to stay a soulful talented graceful singer and be a lady. Those demons didn't consume or take her life, as most child prodigies in the entertainment world don't live long. In which those children were blamed for their demise and exposure by adults too... Big Momma raised her son to have a Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Such people are abusive, promiscuous, use people to their own ends (partners and children are their property - and will do all to sabotage their success in order to remain centre of attention and adoration), have a strong sense of entitlement and do everything to maintain the image they want to convey (ie not the hypocritical pastor who has multiple affairs, be violent and a predator). Sadly, Aretha Franklin, who was given an amazing talent was exploited, was I’m sure not his only victim. Far too many people have awful backstories as Ms Franklin and it is an awful, preventable tragedy. Too many onlookers are seduced by the pastor (and other NPD) words and unwilling to look/condemn his actions. Children need to be protected from predators, especially if those predators are family members.
