This work is in honor of Wendy and her love of crafting with ocean treasures. I was truly inspired by what she did with shells and I am linking 2 of her videos below. I hope that I inspire for you the same inspiration for creating with these natural elements the way that Wendy inspired me. Warm hugs to you all! Joee

Did you know that Wendy was learning the names of all the shells 🐚 She knew and had identified so many of them. The last video I watched was Wendy having a day at the beach, shelling. I also will alway think of her when I think of the beach. You all are doing such a beautiful job keeping her channel and memory alive 🙏🏻 God Bless you ALL ❤

By the way, if I’m watching YT on my phone or TV, I cannot comment on anyone’s video. I love your videos but can only comment when I’m on my IPAD. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not technical enough to figure out why, but this may be what keeps some people from commenting. I am able to do the like! 👍❤ Keep up the good work!

You inspired me to use my bead caps on a small shell I recently got during my vacation in Hawaii. It's been sitting on my desk, waiting for something. This was the something I was waiting for. Its glued now and soon will be a simple necklace to remember my vacation. Thank you!! This was so helpful, and a beautiful tribute to Wendy.

Thank you for this video. I have lots of shells 🐚 that I can now turn into jewlery. I never thought about using bead caps and E-6000. 🤔 I use a silicone mat (it's actually a hot pad) you can set glued items on it to dry and set your glued toothpick down on it. After the glue drys you can peel it right off the silicone. This has made my crafting so much easier. I cut one of the mats into smaller pieces so I could stack them up to hold something that needs to dry ect.

It's so good to know I'm not alone in my love of shells and sea fossils for jewelry making!!!! I also live in Florida and love the beach and hunt for the rare and unique beauty of shells, I even shop the souvenirs stores looking for rare pieces to use in my jewelry creations! What do you use to make holes in the shells, they're so fragile, glad to know we can use glue, I also use clear nail polish to shine and protect the shells and fossils! Thanks for the ideas! Do you find many people liking the uniquely sea materials in jewelry making? I find it rare to find people interested in them! ❤😊

I don't usually make it to the end of videos this long, but you kept me interested until the end. I have lived near beaches in Australia for most of my 50+ years, and a have a huge amount of shells. At last I have some ideas of what to do with them. If you used thicker wire do you think your bookmark ideas could be converted to hair sticks ? The hair would need to be held by an elastic or a barrette, but then maybe you could slide a wire through with shell dangles ?

I'm so happy you did this kind of video! I've lived in Florida most of my life, but never really enjoyed the beach (I sunburn easily, get headaches from the heat, etc.) But now that we're empty nesters, my husband and I have found that we enjoy going to the beach in the fall and winter months when it's cooler, a couple hours before sunset and collecting shells. We've amassed quite a collection and have displayed as many as we can, but there are still so many that just sit in boxes in the closet. I'm watching this around 1 a.m. and I can't wait until I wake up in the morning and can get started creating my own shell jewelry components.

I love your designs with shells and understand you want a good gloss. As a former nail tech, I would advise against using Dollar tree nail polish . I would hardly recommend a thin, thin coat of mod podge with the shiny finish.. number one it provides a stabilizing layer for your delicate shell and it is not as destructive as nail polish. When I have thin shells that I want to use one side of sometimes I will paint a layer of mod podge and perhaps even lay down a piece of good quality felt cut a little bit smaller than the Shell itself so that the piece stays in one piece . I love my Shell jewelry and I want to do everything possible to keep it in one piece as long as I can. ❤thank you for doing such a complete
