Food in London is very much you get what you pay for - there's a market for those who are very poor (very cheap bland food) and those who have money (actual good food). If you're looking for takeout, order it from a proper restaurant and not the fast food joints lol. Same thing goes for supermarkets, the cheaper stores will be full of processed, cheap stuff that tastes horrible (Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Asda, etc), instead look for either a Marks & Spencer or Waitrose for home-shopping, there's a huge difference in quality!

@@monadejaneiro - Yeah a lot of the food is just full of nasty stuff because it keeps the prices low lol. If you're looking for somewhere that's middle of the road then places like Morrisons and Co-Operative aren't too expensive but aren't too bad, but generally if you're buying meats then you'd want to get it from a butcher; if buying veg you'd ideally want it from a farmer market; and everything else I'd honestly just get it from Marks and Spencer. Best way to get chips though is honestly just to buy potatoes from a farmers market (or grow them yourself, they're super, super easy to grow in the UK), cut them to shape, boil in a pan for 10 mins and throw them onto a baking tray in the oven for 20 mins after. Boiling them in the pan beforehand is to help make the potato fluffy and you can rub in some goose fat onto the baking tray to get the coat crisp. A little bit more work for food prep but it will be miles better than anything you buy at any store lol.

Bro have you seen the ingredients for Mc Donalds for UK and USA? The fries in UK have 3 ingredients, Potato, oil and salt. The USA fries have 13, yes THIRTEEN ingredients. That's why americans have hard time to adjgusting to UK food and the drinks is also way different, USA have DOUBLE the amount of grams in sugar compared to the UK and you also use another ingredient, fructose corn syrup too. The bread (even burger buns) the USA bread is 300% more fattier than UK bread, USA bread has so much sugar, it can be classed as a CAKE. Everybody knows things taste better with more sugar, that's why USA food can taste good, but overall it's trash for your body and health. But on a side note, who ever is buying your drinks is fucking up, they are buying you DIET which is no sugar, that's why it taste like ass. You can get normal spire or coke with sugar too.
