I feel like Sheena was expecting more recognition and was disappointed when she didn’t get it to the level she expected. As for Trid he was just enjoying the moment. He wasn’t expecting as much. I think he is more grounded.

It's ok to have expectations and it's ok to admit hurt when disappointed. It's not pride or entitlement. We're human and hoping for the best keeps us going. It's ok.

I think Sheena you were just disappointed by the whole play and your expectations never merged with the reality on the ground. One, it shows that you're human and 2, we all learn to always manage our expectations to avoid the self sabotage. Good thing Trid is more grounded and somehow and subconsciously, you knew he was your safe place in that moment of 'shame' as your mind was whirling all this while. Thanks for sharing the realities of life and ofcourse to Trid who never disappoints 😂👏👏

Thank you Sheena and Trid for being real! I'm going through a crossroad and I have to ask myself currently if it is true or a story in my head? Listening to you both lend a different perspective from this episode! I have a clearer perspective from this lesson. Thank you again! 💪🏽❤️

Amazing podcast. So here I am, an outsider, a subscriber looking in. In my dreams I imagine that one day, just by chance, I would see you and your husband and your two children having dinner or maybe breakfast at a nice restaurant. I am there too on vacation with a friend. So this happens completely by chance. And I go over and introduce myself, saying I'm a fan, I have a small yet currently inactive channel and sharing my love and appreciation of all of you. In this dream you Sheena gets up and you give me a big hug, your husband too and the son and daughter and laughing in Joy at all of this. In all of this I am crying tears of joy and of course with your sweet nature, Sheena, smiles and tears perhaps. So of course this is a wish dream. Because of the kind of impact of what you all share and the emotions in me that follows. Does this mean it will ever be reality some day? Maybe, though it will probably play out differently though I am sure it would be just as pleasant. Why am I sharing all of this? My biggest concern has been the coldness of the entertainment business. And it effecting you in negative ways. Stealing from the preciousness of who you truly are. Kind of a papa bear feeling I have in all of this, over protective, understanding that what we see on screen like in award shows or some form of public recognition, can be so fake at times and very manipulating. This is true of all of us who put ourselves out there in the public eye no matter how big or small our audience is, faces this caution. All of this can be very beautiful or can become a nightmare. And I am so glad for the support system you have and your personal ways of dealing with it all. Love you all and thank you for sharing this very powerful and loving insight♥♥♥♥♥

Nice you went to VMA’s big I highly suggest you don’t be friends with any celebrities especially Snoop or any other celebs you spoke to , nice to see them but definitely not good to be friends with them especially with all the Diddy news coming out , just be careful , stay independent with ur music Sheena , other than that another great podcast /videocast , always enjoyable and fun to watch n people from Florida hope u evacuated already n stay out the path of the hurricane , ✌️ out from the Golden state.

I would imagine if they had you on their list and were interviewing you, it would have been all about, "How did you like singing with Adam Knight?" I mean I would have been happy with the media not knowing I was there. I have had personal run ins with them and it is not a great experience for these famous people to get swarmed by them. However, you are a star in your own right. You have a beautiful voice, the song is amazing, and the fact you are getting to share it with people is amazing. Keep up the great work :)

Not the same, but the same feelings when I imagined the day when I could afford that car type of my childhood dreams. Let me keep the story short, I eventually came around to researching the model and Spec I wanted and placed the order about 35 years after those early thoughts,. Got excited about the day it would arrive. The day arrived, saw the car from a distance. Still excited about getting my first ever new Car that was in my dreams. However, this was all pulled away due to how the closeout / handover process was carried out by the sales team. I still love the car and feel blessed every day I can get in it and drive off. The main point and I agree with your experience and message in this Podcast (if I interpret this correctly) - the people closest to you that you love and they love you for who you are (positive and negative) are the things to cherish and remember, not a fabricated illusion that take you out of yourself to the point that you may look back and say, was it worth it. Stay true to what really makes you and your family happy and fulfilled. End of Message.... 😇 BTW: Great content.!

Well Sheena, you looked beautiful at the VMA's. It's a shame that the experience was a disappointment for you. Everything in life is an experience to learn from and it seemed you did learn so it was a success.
