Charlie has spoken for the majority of kids whose parents need to be apart, but rather stay together and make the entire house miserable. Ain't no such thing as staying for the kids. These kids want happy parents and peace.

Charlie isn't holding in her emotions. She's saying that she'd rather they be happy apart than miserable together and she doesn't feel it's her business to have an opinion either way. She's working on herself and becoming a better version of herself every day . That leaves no room to be bothered with anyone else's drama, including her parents.

I went through it as a kid. When they finally split when I was (18) I was happy as hell! I commend them for trying until I was an adult and away at college. But I was happier to not be in a toxic environment with two parents who were not happy! Going thru it now with my other half, his daughter is (18) and he thinks she’s a little girl. She’s NOT and kids aren’t given enough credit, they think they hiding the truth from the kids know and it effects you more being miserable and pretending to be happy. All the arguments and the negative energy is LOUD.

The moment I heard Tammy tell Waka that Charlie was her child and not his, I already sensed they weren’t going to make it. Waka's past infidelity has definitely overshadowed Tammy's aggressive energy & verbal abuse. Growing up in the inner city of Baltimore with a mother addicted 2 drugs & an incarcerated father; she brings all of that unhealed trauma & survivor mentality into the marriage. This is why there needs 2 be more black therapists 2 help with "trauma work & healing". Tammy has been profoundly impacted by all of that whether she wants 2 acknowledge it or not.

My heart goes out to Charlie. My parents were together for 21 years. I witnessed so much. I should have been focused on being a child, happy, enjoying life, but I couldn’t because of the unhappiness/toxicity from my parents. It definitely had a huge impact on me. I’m almost 30 with my own family and I’m still healing from many childhood traumas. I never want my babies to feel any of this. Sometimes, our parents don’t realize how invisible we feel to them, like they’re so focused on their failing relationship that they don’t understand how it’s affecting the kids. I was suicidal, bullied, battling an autoimmune illness doctors couldn’t even explain, and a ton of other issues. My parents, mostly my dad, was just blind to it. It got to the point where I felt like Charlie. I no longer cared whether they were together or not. If it meant for them to separate and go their own way, so be it. That’s what it was. I was tired of it all. People grow apart, things change. If you’re constantly breaking up and there’s no understanding, it’s time to move on. I hope Tammy finds the strength to officially leave, move on, and find happiness within her self, so she can focus on her daughter, healing, and being the best version of her self.

From the first 2 minutes, you can tell Waka understands his mistakes played the biggest role in the demise of their relationship & I love that. Tammy may have kept him at arms length b/c of his cheating, but he knows he caused that to happen. I don't think Tammy truly forgave him after the cheating, but honestly who could. Honestly wishing them the BEST!! They raised an amazing daughter!!! I don't want either of them thinking they need to stop hanging with the extended family either b/c after so many yrs, they're ALL family!!

Tami has issues that stem far beyond Waka. Her issues go back to her hard life in Baltimore and her abandonment from her parents. Then Charlies Father abandoned her and Charlie. Then Waka who was supposed to be her Prince Charming cheated...more abandonement and disregarding her feelings creating control issues, anger and insecurities. She is never really open to therapy and guidance always shewing it away. She needs to follow her daughters footsteps and seek spiritual healing bc her Spirit is tired damn near on life support. I hope Waka finds his peace, matures more and finally gives Ms.Deb some Grand babies like she been begging for. It wasn't meant to be forever, everyone needs to let it GO.

You’re in a relationship that’s filled with drama and up’s & down’s, obviously that’s going to have an affect on the child. If the child gets to the point where they don’t want to be on that emotional roller coaster anymore and decide to focus on taking care of themselves internally, how is that cold hearted ? 🤔 Parents have to learn to stop projecting their own emotions & insecurities on to their children. It’s like Tammy wanted Charlie to say she wants them to be together because part of Tammy still wants to be with him. I’m glad we’re in a time where teens and young adults have the information to learn how to care for their mental.

I have an engraved quote on my wedding photo in my living room that says , “ Their is no such thing as the perfect marriage , Just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other “ . I see that quote everyday and I value that . A marriage and love will only go as far as where two people want it to go . People should fight for what they love . That's true. You can't say you want to move past something with someone and get back together with them to just hang it over there head. She married him after everything, but now decides she can't do it. If she hadn't forgave him whole heartedly then she shouldn't have taken him back. Waka has tried to make things right and compromise on her terms and it was still not enough. Besides he was willing to give up his hope for more kids just to be with her. He was willing to move forward but she wasn't, that's a marriage death sentence. He has grown dramatically, but she still treats him like his past. That's not ok.
