What I’m really disappointed about is how all these influencers (including Netflix and Kinetic) as well keep breezing past the Johnny and Amy story. Like their relationship gets very little screen time and even when people do reviews like this on KZbin people have very little to say. I’ve heard influencers call them the boring couple, the bland couple, the predictable couple etc. Usually there’s some sort of negative connotation associated with them even though they ended up with the Happily Ever After story. Which it just goes to show how much we have morally decomposed over time as a society and where we place true value at these days. We would rather glorify the drama instead of praising that which is pure and beautiful. Imagine if we took time to study Johnny and Amy and talk deep about all the things that were said and done right. How we could use that as a model for best practices in a thriving relationship. We probably would experience more healing and be better examples for kids to come.

As for Clay, he only did exactly what his father did. His father used him as a front for his cheating ergo exposing Clay and making Clay the scapegoat. I can imagine his dad telling his mom he was taking Clay here and there only to use him as an excuse, his wing man. That is devastating to a child. And yes, it shaped his views of Women, relationships and all that, watching his father, his role model, his example doing nasty work. I have heard that they get paid less if they don't get to the altar. So maybe Clay & AD didn't get paid more for staying, but they also didn't lose money for leaving early.

I do believe that Clay got paid extra to stay. The man exposed dark family secrets on TV, which is absolutely crazy and diabolical. Although that every time he was on screen, he would give a hint about not wanting to get married, I also believed that behind the scenes, he assured AD he would say yes at the Altar. Her tears were real, she was hurt for real, she was invested in the experience. So i can't imagine her accepting money to get humiliated. If it's all true, Clay ain't shit, but Kinetic and Netflix are the devil reincarnated.

I know women like AD. Tbh Clay was honest throughout the show. I believe he really thought they could just keep dating (he said as much during the kitchen convo and again at the altar). I don’t get why ppl are making Clay the villain when there were other ppl on the show that seemed more likely to be there for TV. One of the premises of the show is to give your answer AT the altar, whether it’s yes or no.

But my problem is the fact you made it to the altar knowing you didn't want to get married from the jump, you applied to a show that ultimately ends in marriage ( and it's not targeted towards Clay, he's merely an example of that this season, and i also speak for any contestant, past or future. And we have seen that kinetic don't care if you wanted to get married yes or no) And maybe AD did accept money and if so she ain't shit either. Then again, most of them are persuaded by producers to do things you may not want to do. So, only the contestants can tell us what really happened.
