Genesis says that Adam and Eve, their children and grandchildren worshiped the God of the Old Testament Bible. Do we have any evidence for that? I see no reason, other than it feels good, to consider Neanderthals as humans that are saved through Christ. I wish there was any evidence Biblical or otherwise. They could have been simply human precursors that led to the first humans that were set apart by God as being in His image.

They emerged around the same time that we emerged. Besides there are hominids that pre-date Homo Neanderthalis. What say we of them?

Why do they choose to discount the creation account as it is clearly stated in Genesis. Do they have so little faith in God that they don't believe he could have created mankind the way he said he did and when he said he did? Do they think that God is incapable of communicating to us clearly what it is he wanted us to know? They are choosing not to believe God's word as he told it to us because they do not want to believe.

I think even the starkest atheist would agree with this understanding of Genesis. However, if we're just doing "science of the gaps" where they argue: "if its not incompatible with the current scientific paradigm for there to have been a historical Adam and Eve then it rightly follows that we should accept the inerrancy of scripture" it seems like a cop out. 36:10-38:10 How Dr. WLC answers the question: "If Adam and Eve are Myth why regard historicity at all?" In sum "because if we have established the doctrine of original sin in order for that doctrine to be true we would have to reasonably assume there is an Adam through which sin came as read in Romans 5." The creation account in Genesis is a recapitulation (retelling) of ancient Israel’s history of decline, beginning with their entry and subsequent expulsion from the “promised land” and ending with them in Babylonian captivity, where Genesis was penned. The author(s) of the creation narrative borrowed concepts from creation myths that predated Genesis, and terms from other Old Testament texts penned hundreds of years earlier that pertained to Israel. For example, the oldest occurrence of the term “heaven and earth” is found in Isaiah, which was penned a couple hundred years before Genesis. There and in many other places, the term “heaven and earth” referred to the old covenant religious system and temple community. The creation of “heaven and earth” (Gen 1:1) was the creation of a primitive covenant community. The garden was another way of describing the “promised land”. The land God prepared in Gen 1:2-2:4 was the same land that was prepared in Gen 2:5-14, land that was promised to Abraham’s descendants. Genesis 1:1-2:4 serve as the introduction to the rest of the Genesis narrative involving covenant people, not all humanity. For example, we see in Genesis 2:4 that the heavens and earth had generations. Gen 2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens. The Hebrew word for generations is תּוֹלְדָה and means physical descent, familial generations. Does the earth and sky have physical descendants? Of course not. The heavens and earth in Genesis can only be referring to people. When the Genesis creation account informs us that the earth was without form and void (Gen 1:2), we can look elsewhere to discover exactly what earth it’s talking about. Jer 4:23 I looked on the earth, and behold, it was without form and void; and to the heavens, and they had no light. Jeremiah 4:23 is part of a description of Judah’s desolation. Also... Jer 4:27 For thus says the LORD, “The whole land shall be a desolation; yet I will not make a full end. The “earth” and “heavens” was a people group, not the dirt we stand on. Jeremiah was penned before Genesis, which proves that terms like “heaven and earth” and “earth” were used to describe the old covenant religious system and temple community. We also see amazing parallels in the scriptures that show Adam and the fall narrative is actually describing Israel. These parallels are too many and too exact to be mere coincidences. Israeli Prof. Tvi Erlich, in his “The Story Of The Garden Of Eden in Comparison to the Position of Mt Sinai and The Tabernacle”, makes the following astute observations that... Adam was placed in a location once desolate, dark and chaotic but later, to a lush garden. Israel was moved from a desolate desert to the promised land. (Gen 2:15, Deut 3:20, 30:3-4, Josh 1:13,15, Jer 27:11; Ezek 36:34, 37:14,21; Isaiah 14:1) Adam commits spiritual adultery by departing from Yahweh’s commandment and believing Eve. Israel commits spiritual adultery with pagan nations, foreign gods, and animals. Adam’s sin involved a relationship with a woman. Israel’s sins often involved relationships with seductive women (Solomon’s wives- Kings 11:4-13, Jezebel -16:31---33, Delilah- Judges 16:4-14, the whore of Babylon- Rev 17:1-18). God commanded Adam to conquer / subdue the land (Gen 1:28) God commanded Israel to conquer / subdue the land of Canaan (Num 32:22, 29, Josh 18:1). Adam is banished from the land and his relationship with Yahweh suffers. Israel returns to the land and her relationship is restored with Yahweh through Christ. Adam had a covenant relationship with God (Gen 2-3) Israel had a covenant relationship with God (Exod 19-34) Similarities between Adam and Israel at Mt Sinai Adam marries Eve, a marriage covenant. Israel makes a marriage covenant at Mt Sinai. Adam - God gives commands directly to Adam, who in turn communicates those instructions to his wife. Israel - God gives direct instructions to Moses at Mt Sinai and he communicates those instructions to Israel (who was also the bride). Adam - Commandments of do and do not do are transgressed (Gen 2:16-17). Israel- Commandments of do and do-not-do are transgressed (Exod 20:3). Adam - Adam was unable to hear God’s voice after sinning, was distanced from God and he decided to hide (Gen 3:8, 10). Israel - Israel was unable to hear God’s voice, was distanced from the Shekinah and requested a mediator (Moses) to hear on their behalf. (Exod 20:14-15, Deut 5:19-20). Adam - Adam lost connection with God after a woman led him to sin (Gen 3:17,23) Israel - When Israelites wanted to draw near to God, they had to separate themselves from women first. (Exod 19:15). Adam - Adam aspired to reach an imaginary good, but when he transgressed the commandment, God guarded the way of life (Gen 3:24). Israel - Keeping the commandments led Israelites on the way to true life (Deut 20:14-15). Adam - Adam goes away from the shekinah and the garden is guarded by cherubim and a flaming sword (Gen 3:24). Israel - Israelites are able to draw near to the shekinah and the glory of God dwells on Mt Sinai in view of Israel (Exod 24:16-17). Adam - Adam returned to the dust of the ground (Gen 3:17) which constituted part of his atonement for sin. Israel - The ground from which Adam was fashioned atones for Israel’s sins (Exod 20:24). Adam - Adam is condemned to death for his sin and a sword guards the tree of life from a sinful man (Gen 3:24). Israel - The Israelites rectify their sin by putting sinners to death with a sword (Exod 32:27). At the end of the story, Christ is pictured returning in flaming fire (2 Thess 1:8) with a sword in his mouth (Rev 2:16, 19:15) in judgement on the twelve tribes of Israel (Luke 22:30). Literally from start to finish, the bible is about Israel. The implications should be evident. Adam wasn’t a real person created from dirt in a garden. Eve was not a real first woman created from one of Adam’s ribs. There was no literal talking snake. Nobody today is guilty of any sin of Adam. The creation was not the universe and planet but of a covenant community of Israelites.

Genesis 1 is probably the oldest document in the world and is so ancient the author doesn't even use the names for the sun and moon but simply refers to them as "the greater light" and "the lesser light". Kramer admits "as far back as our written sources go, the sumerians considered the moon-god, known by the two names sin and nanna to be the son of the air-god enlil... and since the sun-god utu and the venus-goddess iananna are always referred to in the texts as children of the moon-god, the probability is that these two luminous bodies were conceived as having been created from the moon after the latter had been fashioned from the atmosphere" So there's no parallel between Genesis 1 and pagan myths. The oldest myths use NAMES for the heavenly bodies whereas Genesis doesn't and the creative process is entirely different. And the fact that Genesis 1 only uses 'the greater light' and 'the lesser light' strongly suggests it's far earlier. Note also that Genesis led to MODERN SCIENCE! The oxford professor Peter Harrison in his book THE FALL OF MAN AND THE FOUNDATIONS OF SCIENCE points out that the scientific method resulted from belief in Adam and Eve.

@@stephenglasse9756 Modern scholars believe that Genesis 1 was part of a document called the Priestly text, written by the priests of Jerusalem, the very same people Jeremiah accused of being lying scribes. However, Genesis 1 was derived from a pagan Babylonian myth called the Enuma Elish, and was incorporated into the Priestly text, which itself was subsequently added to the bible at a late date, after earlier versions of the bible were already written. The Enuma Elish is the earliest written creation myth, in which the God Marduk battled the chaos Goddess Tiamat and her evil minions. Tiamat took the form of a gigantic snake, and Marduk battled and defeated her using an arsenal of super-weapons. After his victory, Marduk became the leader of the gods. Marduk divided Tiamat's corpse into two portions, the upper half becoming the sky and the lower half, the earth. Marduk then created humanity from his blood and bone. Does any of this sound similar to the Genesis creation account ? Scholars believe that Genesis 1 was added to the bible when Israel came under Babylonian control, which happens to be the same time Jeremiah was alive. We know this because the earlier prophets, those before Jeremiah, never show any knowledge of Genesis 1.

There is a number of huge problems to explain how human life originated if there wasn't a real Adam and an Eve. First problem to explain is how a male and a female perfectly matched biologically to cause self-replicating offsprings. There is absolutely nothing to explain the necessary complementary compatible parts that had to have existed in the first couple to have made the human race possible. The Holy Bible's statement that Eve came from divine help from Adam, explains this. Because it was a miracle. Natural Selection does not explain how this happened. The second problem is to explain how a male and female human beings met. In the Holy Bible they met because both were in the garden of Eden, but if the male evolved in East Africa and the female evolved thousands of miles away, how did they meet across the lakes, jungles, wild animals, poisonous snakes and plants? Thirdly, If the two had the same parents, why did they have different DNA to their non-human parents? DNA is derived from the parents. Half from the father, half from the mother. If they had different parents why were they sexually compatible for making offspring? The chances of this occurring are unrealistically unlikely.

Christ came to undo the sin and eternal death brought upon the world through the sin of Adam. Death in Adam, Life In Christ: Romans chapter 5 verse 19: " For as by one man's disobedience(Adam), many were made sinners, so also by one Man's (Jesus)obedience, many will be made righteous." Romans chapter 5 verse 18: " Therefore, as through one man's (Adam's) offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even through one Man's (Christ's) righteous act, the free gift came to all men, resulting in the justification of life." Romans chapter 5 verse 17: " For if by the one man's offense(Adam's offense), death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in the life through the One(Jesus Christ). Romans chapter 5 verse 12: " Therefore, just as through one man (Adam)sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned." Romans chapter 5 verse 21: " "So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Do you now see that through Adam, sin and death entered the world, so that is why Christ Jesus came to give life, and give it more abundantly? Yes Christ came to give eternal life through Salvation. Adam's flesh brought sin, death, destruction, and condemnation. 1 Corinthians 15 : 21-22, "For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ, all shall be made alive." Christ's sacrifice, the crucifixtion of His flesh, brings reconciliation of sins, life, resurrection, eternal life, salvation Christ is coming back again, not as a sacrificial lamb. He is coming back as a roaring, waring lion, to destroy sin, death, and the grave once and for all. Amen! Halleluyah! Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 to 13: " And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. " Now do you see friends, Why Christ Jesus is so so Important for our Salvation? Yes. Now, do you understand why there is only one way to God, and that is only through Christ Jesus,only? Yes. Christ is Salvation. Christ is our Lord and Saviour. Christ is the only way to God. Christ is the only Mediator between God and men(us humans). God loves us so much, He does not want anyone to perish in hell. God wants all sinners to be saved. That is why He sent His Word to save the world. God's Word became flesh, and dwelt among us to save us. Will you accept Christ and be saved? Christ already paid the price, all you have to do is recieve salvation through acceptance of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach. So who is Christ? He is The Word Of God. He is the Son of God. He is God. He is the image of the unseen God. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is the Great I Am. He is Emmanuel. He is The Christ. He is The Messiah. He is The Creator. He is our Lord and Saviour. He is our Mediator. He is the Lion and the Lamb. He is Salvation. He is the way, the truth, and life. Amen! I love you Lord! The Adam y genome and Mitochondrial eve is a metaphor and has nothing to do with the bible story, it dates back to the Stone Age where there were thousands of people around at that time, all living things evolved from a single celled organism , then evolved into multi cellular complex plants and animals that’s a proven FACT, whether your religious or not , if we were created separately, ( like in the bible) we wouldn’t share DNA with other animals and plants, Multiple human species lived on the Earth at the same time, Australopithecus and homo habilis were just a stepping stone away from evolving into Homo sapiens , Neanderthals and Denisovans are much more likely who we co- existed with . Micro evolution is a fact and has been proven over and over, macro evolution is scientific theory, because we can’t put billions of years in a 10 minute lab experiment, the only difference between the two is macro evolution is just on a bigger scale for a longer period of time, there is no Imaginary line between them , both happen with the Same mechanism and in the same way . The mechanism of ( natural selection) is a theory.
