I completely understand the independent, base logic involved with the strats that have pretty much always made up "the way that comp Fortnite SHOULD be played" as dictated by the majority of the top-tier players/teams, but let's be really, really honest here... it is not only naive and counter-intuitive, but REALLY dumb for anyone to go into a competition of almost any sort and to EXPECT to be afforded the opportunity from your opponents to play the game in the way that you're most comfortable with. Pretty much the entirety of comp Fortnite has become accustomed to playing the game in a way that "makes sense" (provides comfort) to the individual players/teams but makes no sense whatsoever in the grand scheme of game theory. Long story short... noone owns any drop spot at any time. It's a Battle Royale. If you're contested then either win your fight or disengage. I'm pretty sure that no amount of being a doucher on Twitter has ever earned anyone a single point on any Fortnite leaderboard.

@@tjay355 I totally get what youre saying. Whatever a player can do, within the rules obviously, to swing the odds in their own favor is just a smart way to approach the game in general. And Stretch/Zayt are actual big brain legends not just for how they play 'ingame' but also for the way they maneuver themselves around the inside of their opponents minds as well. One of THE biggest reasons that ball players like MJ, Kobe, etc. were able to score points pretty much anytime they wanted to (aside from their freakish levels of athletic superiority) is because they had the physical ability and the presence of mind to position themselves in ways that kept their opponents off-balance, Exact. Same. Principal, All that aside, the main point that I was asserting in my OP was not that players should never or always play or not play any certain way, it was that I believe it's naive, stupid, and counter-productive to EXPECT other players to play in a way that suits one's own specific approach to the game as if all the other players on the map shouldn't be able to approach the game however they want to, within the rules. Then again, when the vast majority of top tier players in ANY game are actual children, chances are that childish ideas and behavior will be very common. Which it is.

Good observation on the hacking. The phrase "they're hacking" gets thrown around a lot but this season it seems to be moving beyond a sus event or two. Curse aimbotters shooting insta headshots every time through builds, buildings, trees, rocks, hills etc. Hope Epic can get it under control.

Maybe I'm a bit biase, but I dont think it's an excuse, that eu tournaments are very early for nae pros, but if there is a tournament with lots of money on the line and you are one of the best pros in your region that you should be able to wake up at 1/2 pm, if you dont than you dont think you can place. The griefing, I can't agree with either, in every fncs there has been griefing too, even if its region locked, if you are doing bad than likely someone will grief you doesnt change if you are from the same region or not

Some nae tournaments for example dh finals were from 1am-5am and there was also eu dh semis before so pros were playing like 7-8hours. I wouldnt say this is easier than playing at 1pm

Died to a hacker in eu ww cup, I’ve played since season 2 and never seen a hacker. Dude headshot sniped my duos parasite while we were driving in a Ferrari between trees im weeping. I think you should talk about the problem about the servers being placed at japan for asia giving almost every japanese 0 ping and just W key every single time with people who are on 30 to 120(SEA regions) so they just one tap the wall and kills everybody and placing high, despite reet, there arent really much people from other countries despite japan qual in fncs or win cash tourneys. Just dont think that its a right place to put the server since it will make SEA players lose interest in fortnite competitive

There should definitely be region lock. Reet can get around a hundred ping in Asia server. Except for players in Tokyo who can get 0-20 ping, all the rest of asia are getting at least 70+, depending on their location, most people don’t compete because it is impossible to get less than hundred twenty ping in their country. But players in Asia will get at least 200 ping in any region other than Asia. So how is it fair for someone outside of Asia to come in and take from the prize pool, when this is someone’s only chance to even compete, but players from different region has two or three chance if they really try.
