He forgot to watch the love Potion arc ova before the next arc it understandable because OVA are hard to find or people treat like it is separated from the series even tho it is an arc that canonically before this new arc

There are 2 options for continuing Gintama. Either watch Shogun Assasination and farewell shinsengumi , then slip arc (how the anime aired) or else watch as per manga by watching slip arc first and then watch serious arcs back to back in one stretch(how manga published) Imo, watching how manga published is better but after that there is no going back. It just turns too serious. There will no more fun episodes.

This is dropping the same day as Jump's KZbin channel is releasing an official Gintama manga music video set to Togenkyo Alien. Coincidence? Probably, but i still have to wait a day for my Gintama fix. 😂 (This already did Samurai Heart and Shura but i highly recommend you avoid the Shura vid if you haven't seen past the Shogun Assassination arc)
