Jesus is God in the flesh. Why would God want to be married and bring Himself down to earthly pleasures? The Bible says in Heaven there is no marriage - because it’s not necessary!

I disagree with Mike Heiser on his statement about the 35 min. mark where he says 'in principle there wouldn't be a problem with Jesus being married'. Based on Genesis 2:24 alone, which says, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.", there would be at least two problems with Jesus marrying anyone. First of all, note that God's original ordinance for marriage (which has not been obeyed since Eve left God in Eden to follow Adam out into the world), is that it is the 'man' who must leave his parents to cleave to his wife. Would/could Jesus leave His Father to cleave to a woman? The answer is obviously 'NO! He would/could not.' Jesus did not come into the world to marry, have children and work as a carpenter. He came into the world to DIE for us. Certainly having a wife and kids would have detracted and distracted Him from fulfilling all the purpose of His Father and He would have left a widow and fatherless children. Secondly, the 'union' of marriage makes the man and woman 'one flesh'. If Christ had entered such a marriage union with any woman, it would mean that this holy, sinless Lamb of God had made Himself ONE with a daughter of Adam, a sinner, and would thereby have contaminated Himself. As well, since Christ would have made Himself ONE with this woman, she would have to be considered a 'co-redemptrix' with Christ, which should be obvious to anyone who comprehends God's plan of redemption is unthinkable...a sinner saving sinners from sin??....TWO saviours?? Mike Heiser is a splendid scholar, loaded with acquired knowledge of letters and languages, and I appreciate the volumes of knowledge of these that he shares. However, at times he 'stops short' and does not follow through to arrive at the revealed Truth of the material he presents. None of us possess the whole knowledge of all Truth, so this is not a 'criticism' of Mike, but an opportunity to provoke thought on the principle among those who view this presentation. And thank you for permitting me to do so.

Lou Stacey you are stuck on what Jesus needed to be for a dogmatic religion....in order for anyone to believe that they could actually follow him and be like him.......he had to be human like everyone else or it would be pointless if we couldn't do all the things he could do..... Don't forget the apostles were doing the same works as Jesus as he had taught them....he didn't need to die for that to be necessary.... Jesus said we are all equal....not even he was above another!

@Gavin Walsh who are the spirits in tartarus? What was the legion that went into the pigs? What was the familiar spirit that Paul drove from the soothsayer? We are at war with the principalities of the nations. Our King is coming to put them under his feet, and we who are his inheritance will supplant and judge them in his name. The world is ruled by demons and their diabolical fathers. But he who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. To say that there is no such thing as evil spirits to deny the victory over death and sin that we have been given.

One thing all historical figures have in common is that they all had mothers and fathers. Were they married? Should you care? What gives one the authority to marry others? Would Jesus have accepted such badges of man?And gained something through such a process? Possibly you should just be wondering if they had a kid? And possibly, Is one alive today?

It would depend on when they would have been married, before or after the cross. The lie behind the Dan Brown book "The Da Vinci Code" is that Jesus did not die on the cross, which would invalidate the Resurrection and thus Chritianity.

You made the point about there being no reference to"marriage" as such, but I think you overkill it. It still tantalizing to see Mary and Jesus in a different way, and for this feeling there is a base.

Yes the word companion doesn't prove anything but the way things were viewed back then I doubt a woman would be allowed to spend so much time around a man who is especially supposed to be an example of what it means to be chase at the time. It would have caused them to be highly judged. Today you can be an innocent companion, friend without that judgment. Back then no. So if she was considered a companion of his she spent a large amount of time around him and possibly alone so maybe they were courting and never became married but it sure opens up much suspicion especially when he kissed her on (well somewhere) that wouldn't be allowed between them if they were just friends, would it?

If He had married, I would think He would have addressed His soon to be widow, as He did with His mother, while on the cross to ensure she was taken care of.. I don't see this and don't believe he married.

He did. He told you clearly when disciples came and told him his mother and brother was at the door. He said who is my mother and brother and pointed to the disciples. He was referencing his wife when he said Behold thy mother. The mother of the flock. Of the disciples.

Alien Resistance ;....if Jesus was married, having children,....rather difficult for His children, if God still had Jesus go to the cross, resurrecting, ascending back to Heaven & Jesus leaving His wife & children behind on earth, who wud, look after her, ????. Also, the Sabbath was drawing nigh on Good Friday, so the woman had to wait till upon the 1st day of the week,....however, Mary Magdalene, had annointed Jesus of the Alabaster box, so it wasn't important for Jesus to have being embalmed, since, Jesus wasn't dead for too long, to have smelt of decay, anyway. Yes about greeting one another with a Holy Kiss, but not many do this today, web gathering as Christians whether @ church a bible study group, cos it cud spark something off with people for gossip sale, or perhaps,.....those who have been oppressed with sexual addictions wen they have given their lives to Jesus, & havnt overcome the sexual lust of the flesh in their walk with God. I beleived that the disciple John, was the one that Jesus loved dearly, cos he was mostly @ Jesus side everywhere Jesus went on His travels. Sorry I don't know of a scripture to prove that, right now,...I'm rather tired to go look it up in my Strongs concordance, if anything or not. Three disciples JESUS wud take in with Him for healing people, was Faith, (Peter), Hope, (James), & Love, (John),.....as John loved Jesus,.....but no scripture to back that up either being tired wile typing, right now,....wen it comes down to the nitty gritty, Jesus already knew the plan the Father had for Him,....which is the pure church the remnant that are in purity for wen Jesus comes for His bride, (being the church), @ His second comming, note that Dan Brown wudnt understand that then if he were told,....but hey !, he may know now, cos things are getting quite messy with America & Rome, one world government, New World Order, that has a one world religion, which will corse tyranny like the French Revolution, world wide this time. If JESUS did do His own will, & marry Mary Magdalene, The Father wudnt had been pleased, with Jesus @ all, as @ Jesus baptism, wen he come up out of the Jordan river, by full emersion, that, the heavens opened up, & the Father said,...."My Son in whom I Am well pleased in," the bible said JESUS was tempted @ all points,like we are, but yet, He was without sin, He knew no sin of Himself. So if Jesus kept Gods Will be done, & did His own will, & married Mary Magdalene,....salvation wudve never come by Jesus Christ, no salvation, God wudve just finished the whole world up, in my opinion anyway. Wen we look back in Genesis, God said,...."Let us make man in Our Image,"...see, as The Godhead were in oneness, so even, as Jesus was in Gethsemane, as the agony started there well before the cross, Jesus said, kneeling in prayer, Lord if thou will let this cup pass from me,...if not, my will, but thine be done. So no, way, Dan Brown, wud Jesus had taken Mary Magdalene, (or any other single woman for that matter), to be His personal bride,....as the plan the Father had for Him, was to go back to Heaven as He did. As (Jeremiah 29 : 11), tells us,.....He has a plan for us all for His Righteousness in us to bless us on our walk with the Lord, nothing to harm us, but a plan for good, & I know, He has blessed the in much cos of my faith in Him, we need to have the fruit of the Spirit,...this is how we get closer to God, we must overcome, wots not Christlike in our lives,....as no sin can enter into heaven a second time,...think that quote is in Nahum ch 1, can't quite remember the verse tho, sorry again, it speaks of "affliction," shall not rise up a second time," anyway, this is my take on the whole thing of, if, JESUS turned to His own need to be met,.....I'm sure, God wudve known aforetime, of any sin JESUS may do, against the Father's Holy Will for mankind's salvation, after all, "Emanuel," we know wot that means here on earth, as a perfect baby to His life on earth @ 33 & 1/2 yrs of His ministry on earth, for us to follow Him & to become as Jesus was & is, & is to come, for His remnant church that come out of all worldly churches, & keep wot God wants us to keep His Holy Law, & they, are not grevious to us, the Ten COMANDMENTS are His "Royal Law of Liberty,".......the mosaic law was abolished nailed to the cross, the handwriting of ordinances, 613 of them,....as like the unsaved Jews still keep, 613 !, im fine with the Ten that God wrote by His own finger with Holy fire of. Celibacy is a wrong doctrine.Leviticus 21:7 A priest must not marry a prostitute or a girl who has lost her virginity,or marry a woman divorced from her husband;for he is holy to his God. My opinion is :Jesus is one third of the Trinity.If he would have a baby with a human woman,that baby would be a half-God.He or she could never be a full-God and join the Trinity.God shared Himself in Three Godheads and that will never change.That is the reason why Jesus and Mary Magdalena could never marry.Their offspring would have been a half-God,neither God,nor human.That would go against God/Amlaks own Creation-rules.

I had two visions afterI saw a untasteful video speaking of God/Amlak marrying the Holy Spirit to produce Jesus Christ.That made me ask God/Amlak for justice.He answered me in a vision.I saw a little animal,I think it,s called Amoebe.That animal splits himself in 2 identical parts without having sex with a woman-Amoebe.Then God Amlak told me:.That is how I made Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit!God shared Himself in 3 Godheads.I saw them in Heaven.They are always working.They never sleep.They look alike.The first Godhead/Amlak is always in the middle.The younger versions of the Godhead,Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit walk on His side.Jesus told us in Scripture in Heaven nobody will marry in the parable about the woman who was married 7 times.The visions are true.Since I live I never had a wrong vision yet.Only the names of the 3 Godheads are unknown.Their names were taken out of the Bible in the first 4 centurys.The reason for that is,that Their names are very powerful and the bad guys dont want us to tap into that power.God/Amlak bless you!
