@@melov4 I've lived in the hood all my life. Kensington philly is one of the worst neighborhoods in the united states. Gangs don't have clear cut hierarchy like that anymore. Shooters get respect. All fighting is only done if you don't got a strap or knife but most people will just jump and beat you to death. Its not a movie. No one is gonna respect you because you beat up the homies. Gangs and crews today respect the killers and those who bring income thats it. Organized crime like the mafia doant really exist in the u.s. anymore in large scale because of R.I.C.O. even crips/bloods/gds/bds/latin kings/mob ect. The lot if them no matter what city your in no longer have national and organized leaders. Instead they consist of small "sets" and cliques that are independant but share a culture of similar values to whatever gang they claim their set is a part of. The only street gangs I can think of with a strict hierarchy system are 1%ers

@@melov4 You are out of your mind if you actually believe that. This isn’t the 1960’s, gang members and mobsters don’t waste their time with fist fighting. You’d be hard pressed to find any real hardcore gangster in today’s day and age who will opt to fight instead of just knocking your top off. People don’t become drug lords and mob bosses because they’re good at fighting. That’s absurd. They take those positions of power by being aggressive and willing to kill people who get in their way.

I think there’s some confusion about being a tough guy. The physical ability isn’t what this is about. It’s about their ability to do awful things that say woody could never get himself to do. Have to say this about woodys take on Joe Pesci. The young Joe Pesci in mob movies killing people and shooting people for no reason. That’s how that guy was in real life. Straight crazy.

Woody would come unstuck so quick if he was ever really in the streets with his over confidence in his fighting ability, some of the toughest mother lovers out there looks like an every day Joe Schno but would fuck Woody up in the blink of an eye. I don't claim to be an expert and I'm definitely not in the streets like that but when I was younger I did some stupid shit and spent a couple of years in prison yes there were muscle bound heavies but there were also a lot of men that you wouldn't look at twice who had the respect of everyone including the giants. Some men are just built different and have spent their whole lives never backing down. Also when it comes to the mob it's easier to get in a position to extort some business man if you do not look like a threat until it's too late.

Could you beat up the characters they are depicting? Probably, but are you a murderer? Yeah you can fight, but can you pull a trigger and have the money to get away with it?

Woody mindset is all wrong. Gangsters have the ability to get extremely violent very fast without mercy. The average joe like woody don't really have that ability unless some type of background like serving in the military.

Woody and his thought process just confirms I'm on the correct side of certain political and societal ideals. The reason i stopped listening to this show. Can't count the times Woody woke me up from nearly falling asleep with a braindead take. He is a testament to America. Truly anyone can "make it" in this land

No mafia guys were not tough guys, they were bullies and got their way with any means necessary

Bullies that were also at times cunning (in terms of making cash) and the rest were psychotic men with guns and knives. But yes there were very enforcers that would ever be able to fight fairly. But in a criminal underworld? Why would you want anything to be fair when it comes to your enemy? Same with Mexican Cartels right now. There's no chivalry in a criminal world yet Woody again shows that he's naive enough to believe there's honor and code among organized crime

How does Woody explain countless videos online of units like yourself beating on MMA trained guys that look athletic like Woody. While usually the MMA learned fighter, athletic will have an advantage? I've seen plenty of videos of good ol' farm raised boys putting in work enough to know Woody is incorrect (as per usual)
