Were The Mirio NERFS TOO MUCH FOR HIM? | My Hero Ultra Rumble

Okay so I was the no. 1 proponent of Mirio getting some kind of nerf last season and this mainly stemmed from the fact that it was just too hard to punish him with certain characters. With someone like Strike Bakugou, it was easy to take advantage of the lag from Mirio's beta to get damage in, but it was just impossible to hit him with someone who didn't have fast projectiles. Struggled really hard against him as Tech Dabi and Tech Shouto. They probably went too far with the nerfs, but he was one of the characters that I WANTED nerfed going into the season lol.

The devs:hmm who should I nerf today looks at red deku and red dabi and said naa they are balanced they don't need a nerf.looks at togata,strike bakugo and endeavour and says naa they are too good they need a nerf.petition to NERF RED DEKU

They seriously need to nerf strike dabi. Like I can't even compare the quirksets. As is the case with most quirksets. I hope their not doing a pay to win strategy.

I've gone from thinking the devs just use a dart board for nerfs/ balance choices to thinking they instead just play the game occasionally and whoever gives them the most trouble on their favorite is up for nerf time- and this time it was a Mirio that stalled them out to final circle. So they made sure he'd never win a final circle match by health and ripped up his combos.

I get why the devs did it was because mirio was invulnerable during alot of his combos (specifically during his alpha follow-ups), especially with lower tier characters when it comes to punishing him. When the easiest way to deal with enemies is to have "team work" mirio laughed in the face of that since his main combos had very little choke points. Bonus points because not only he did alot of damage you couldn't prevent to his enemy but he would leave the enemy in a state where others could still shoot them. At least for other characters like iida, you could at least shoot him to deter him from blasting your teammate. Now Im not saying there weren't other high priority targets (cough deku cough) but I get why mirio got touched sooner. Considering the devs could have nerfed his gimmick of Iframes and smovement mirio got off pretty tame compared to afo who got his gimmick nerfed and his overall combos/damage.

For my fellow miro mains I was experimenting even tho we can no longer do beta into alpha for any who nows about the alpha into gamma you can do the same thing with beta plus the beta comes out quicker then the gamma if you tap it you can also combo gamma into thus string right after hitting the beta off wait for them to fall close enough and gamma. Rip pre-nerf miro

Note: this is just a long way of saying a new Toga bug may actually HURT Toga for once Just had a funny twice game where while I was waiting to get up after cloning a bakugo in storm, I find an overhaul clone I DIDN’T MAKE and it turned out it was made by an enemy Toga where the clone apparently (when Toga detransformed) went “wait where’s my Twice? Oh he’s over there with another team… not gonna ask”

When they remove combos from a character, it’s almost never a good thing, look at afo for example

The game is a battle royale where dying is final and the end point of the game unlike a moba game or death match where dying is a setback from completing objectives so i get why they are trying to prevent you from getting stuck in a combo and can't do anything for too long and just going down the ranks

Don’t even put AFO and Mirio combos in the same sentence, with AFO his Beta into Alpha spam could literally obliterate you in a matter of seconds regardless of whether you had full gp or not. Mirio at least had to work to shield break you, he basically had no reliable combos for characters with gp unless they were in the air.
