I’ve been friendzoned, like legitimately. She admitted to the fact that she only dated people, subconsciously, that her mother did not approve of. Her mother liked me. Even though she had a crush on me, she kept me as a friend because of her mother issues. It’s all good though. Relationships in high school don’t mean much.

See though, that is a scenario where you were a sincere friend but she was being a shitty friend. I've literally had a very similar experience and I'll tell you, people who are truly meant for you will like you enough to not to hide it or refuse to do anything because "they don't want to ruin the friendship". Even if you can't reciprocate someone else's feelings the least you can do is be mindful of them and not be shitty.
