I'm new to your channel. We have been wanting to go to Banff for years; just hasn't worked out. Now we are planning for next year. We had thought it would be too much work to do it ourselves and had been looking at guided tours. But after seeing your video, we think we could do this! Thanks for all the great info.

Yes! You can do it yourself! If you want to visit Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, make sure to book your shuttle accommodations as early as possible. They are in high demand and can be hard to get. See our article for more information: wereintherockies.com/get-from-banff-to-lake-louise/

Just came back from Jasper and Banff, truly heart breaking to see how much the fire destroyed. But I can definitely say that the trip from Banff to Jasper is worth it. Happy to have contributed a little to their economy so they can rebuild. I had been there before too in summer, and I definitely thought Jasper had more incredible scenery once you get to the hiking trails.

Thanks for this video! That last part on th3 boat trip was awesome. Something I didn’t get to see when we did our 1996trip to US and Canada. Banff was very different. Was bears around the town. We went to Calgary Stampede and Sulphur mountain and did see the view. Canada was very beautiful I loved the Us too. So very expensive now!

Just tuned in to see if relevant to an upcoming Vancouver to Yellowstone road trip, Banff though beautiful looks a bit off the beaten track. In your Banff chateau hotel feature, you mentioned Queen Elizabeth has stayed there. In fact it is Queen Elizabeth, ‘first lady’ to King George VI, Rex, standing to her left. Since 1953, she was referred to as Queen Elizabeth, the Queen’s Mother. Easy viewing, nicely done. 😎😇

What a wonderful trip. Thanks for bringing back memories for me and my wife. Just a little note, when you were visiting the legislative building in Edmonton you mis-labelled the painting of Queen Mary as Queen Victoria. Queen Victoria was the mother of King Edward and Queen MAry was his wife. Again. So enjoyed watching this with my wife.

They are all outstandingly beautiful. Maligne Lake and Canyon is Jasper was especially breath-taking but I’m not sure how it looks now after the fires. Waterton is wonderful but it’s lowest on the priority list of those 3 places. It’s more like a lake town. Hope that helps : )

Thankfully but Unfortunately, 30% of Jasper Townsite burned down. The Townsite partially reopened last week. The wildfires are under control in the National Park. Was this trip from last year? I remember watching most of the video from earlier this year. When going to Banff, we always by-pass Cal'n'Gary. I prefer Jasper over Banff. 👋🏻 from Alberta, Canada.

I'm watching and I'm at the gondola and I notice you have a cloud. It sucks I would love to have a beautiful clear, sunny day, where everything's crystal. Clear you're and it's funny because that happened to me in Switzerland when I went to see the matter horn. And we get there and the matter horn. The whole entire area set for one side was nothing but a cloud. I was going to go back down the mountain and give up. But I did not. I went in had dinner expensive spaghetti dinner $22. But the whole hunter side of the mountain that was cloudy cleared up. I got beautiful pictures. I got pictures of eagles flying around and the big crows. And I got awesome pictures of. The matter worn and go figure the next day. I came out of my hotel room onto the balcony and I'm not lying clear as day the matter horn. And it looked like it was golden. Grace brown, the Sun was shining on it. And I'm not lying. You could literally felt like you could touch it. It was a better luck than being up on the glacier. Go figure by hope everything clears up for you guys. I'm still watching awesome so far as always. I envy you.😂❤😮😊

Yeah, the cloud was disappointing and is one of our mistakes on the trip but we still had a great time. I'm glad you got some great pictures of the Matterhorn.

@@WereintheRockies Thanks! I was just looking at your itineraries and they seem pretty detailed. I've never bought someone's itinerary because I do all our planning, and I spend many hours getting all the details in, so I don't doubt the work you've put into them. I'm seriously considering it. Seems like a great time saver. Once I solve the car problem, I'll be back. I just hate to backtrack 5+ hours. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We're coming from SW FL so we have to fly.

Ya well as a Canadian who used to visit Banff often..., it has become the same as the rest of Canada. You better not take one step or camp where you are not designated too. The Park Rangers are rude and ignorant in Banff and Field areas. Never go back to that expensive place.
